The Young and the Immortal Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) and Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) are going to be kidnapped while sneaking together. It’s just a matter of when it will happen and who will catch them. And based on recent events, I strongly suspect that Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) may be the one to kill them.
Today we are going to talk about Kyle and Victoria starting to fall for each other exactly how they get caught and why Phyllis might be the one who catches them and wants to use it to her advantage.
Young and the Restless: The Careful Design of Kyle & Victoria
So, we know that Kyle just got himself this nice new apartment in Victoria that they call Danger Zone. No doubt that is a big step up from the Riverbend Innwhich was definitely too dangerous a meeting place. Especially since Phyllis and Matt Clark (Roger Howarth) were getting engaged there. So, not only is the flat better. But also much more private. There’s an indoor garage, so Kyle and Victoria can pull their cars in, go in there. They cannot be seen from the street. Clearly, Kyle and Victoria are trying to minimize the risk of being caught as much as possible.
They even now have code names on their phones, Natasha and Boris, so they don’t get caught texting each other. But of course, we know that Kyle and Victoria will be caught eventually, and the October Sweeps starts in a month. So, that’s actually when I suspect those two are going to get caught. And I’ve seen several red flags recently that say Phyllis is the one who found out that Kyle is getting frisky with Victoria. And of course, Phyllis will know that a big deal leads to big issues, especially with Victoria’s family.
Phyllis’ Big Plan on Y&R
So, at the moment, Phyllis is trying to buy properties inside The city of Genoa. She is hunting Cane Ashby (Billy Flynn). We’ve seen Phyllis ask Cane to sell her the entire property he bought when he first came back. The city of Genoa. So, Phyllis wants it all. And Cane already suspects that Phyllis is trying to pick up where he left off. But Cane doesn’t really care. So, this week, he agrees to sell Phyllis the GCAC and the building across from Newman Enterprises.
Meanwhile, we have Kyle who has just invested in new real estate by grabbing that apartment for himself and Victoria. So, with Phyllis building a property, she is looking around at things in town and maybe she will look at the property where Kyle bought. Could even be a property that Cane and Phyllis are investigating. Because she wants it. And then she sees Kyle there.
Young and Restless: Phyllis Already Suspicious
And remember, Phyllis and Matt saw Kyle at the Riverbend Inn and he thought that was very suspicious. And since that’s Phyllis’ ex-son-in-law, if she sees Kyle creeping around, I totally think Phyllis would follow Kyle to that apartment, lay outside, maybe she’ll see Victoria. I don’t put it past Phyllis to get binoculars, look at windows, hack into the property database and get a list of tenants. And if Phyllis spies and sees Kyle with Victoria, I’m sure Phyllis would be pissed.
And then to make things even more soapy, it looks like Victoria and Kyle are going from friends with benefits to something much more romantic. Victoria and Kyle both agree that they have great chemistry. But in an interview, Michael Mealor said, “Kyle and Victoria will catch on, and I’m pretty sure that will start soon. With this week, Victoria is so under the pressure of Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow).

So, the whole family told Nick so he wouldn’t hear about it from someone else. And he is absolutely on fire about it. Because he was just seeing Joe the drug dealer and Nick is worried about Marie and is angry. Because he knows, the drug dealer Joe sold the drugs to Marie on which she overdosed.
Drug dealer Joe runs into Nick nearby Crimson lights and Joe told him flatly that he had just seen Mary. Nick knows that Joe sold her the drugs and almost killed her. So right now Nick is all fired up. He is angry and said he wants to wipe Joe off the face of the earth. And understandably this week Nick’s family is worried that he is going to wake up and try to stop Joe.
Young and the Restless: Nick was worried about Marie
So, the Newmans are concerned. They don’t want Nick to do this. They don’t want him to get in trouble. Victor Newman (Eric Braeden), Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott), and the Newmans all just want to keep Nick away so he won’t be connected to the drug world in any way. They don’t want it to rerun.
But Nick feels so bad for Marie. Because he found out that she is alone in the world and he feels responsible and Nick feels that he should have done more to help Marie. So this week, Victoria, Adam, Nikki, and Victor are all talking about Nick again. They are all trying to think positively. But Victoria is very concerned about Nick and fears the worst.
Young and Restless: Victoria Falls Apart
So, Victoria goes to the Danger Zone this week and she calls Kyle. But it’s not there. And then Victoria sits down and starts to cry. And of course, we know Kyle is going to show up. He sees a confused Victoria. I’m sure it’s very worrying. In addition, we have an official The Young and the Immortal Friday spoilers that say Kyle sees another side of Victoria.
So, I’m sure that’s because she’s emotionally vulnerable. Something that Kyle has not seen from Victoria before. And I bet this is the starting point for Kyle and Victoria. You know, to start getting hold of feelings for each other. It was interesting that she ran to Kyle when she was upset. You know, that’s not what you usually do, trust your hot young call boy emotionally.
Kyle had never seen Victoria like this before. And that’s also when Victoria had another moment when she was worried about Nick and his drug addiction. I think that was when he was missing from rehab. And that time, Kyle ran into Victoria at Crimson lights. She was close to tears. He was comforting her.
Young and the Restless: Things take a turn for Victoria & Kyle
And that’s when Kyle had that first spark with Victoria and they almost kissed. But Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) stopped him. So, I bet Kyle is going to be worried about Victoria and again, he’s going to comfort her and I think those are the first real feelings for each other that aren’t just physical.
And with Kyle getting closer to Victoria emotionally, they are not going to want to walk away from each other. You know, end a fun and dangerous fling. Because they’re caught, you know, that’s one thing. But I think that before they are caught, there will be more in danger for Kyle and Victoria with real feelings involved.
Phyllis Sees an Opportunity on Y&R
So, if Phyllis comes into the mix and is the one to catch them, as I suspect, I think she might blackmail them instead of just running to get them out to Jack Abbott and Victor Newman (Eric Braeden).
Because in the end, Phyllis is about herself. So, she might agree to keep Kyle and Victoria’s big secret if they help her with the real estate plot she’s cooking up.
Because if Phyllis thinks she can get something out of them, I’m sure she’d rather do that than just expose them. So, everything changes for Kyle and Victoria by the end of this week. And we’ll just have to keep a close eye on Phyllis.
