“Toy Story 5” teased 20 million views within its first five days on Disney+, ranking as the No. 1 movie on Disney+ in its first week.
The initial viewership boosted “Toy Story 5” to become one of the top 10 theatrical movies to date on Disney+, joining the previous four films.
For reference, viewers for “Toy Story 5” exceeded those of “Lilo & Stitch”, which took 14.3 million views on Disney + worldwide after five days back in September, as well as “The Devil Wears Prada”, which received 15.2 million viewers worldwide in five days across Disney + and Hulu in August after it was released in theaters.
“Toy Story” is considered the most watched film franchise on Disney + with more than 2 billion times streamed worldwide, and “Toy Story 5” added to that number even before its debut on the streamer. In total, “Toy Story 5” has moved 168 million hours to the franchise since the release of the trailer.
At the box office, the “Toy Story” movies have earned more than $4 billion worldwide, with “Toy Story 5” surpassing $1 billion this summer.
