Now, mixed up with this group, Whitney questions Quai, in the same way that many begin to question at Bronwyn’s a story
Back in Utah, Angie hosting Mary for her first visit out of the house. Angie understands that although she is going through a hard time, Mary is going through something much more difficult. Mary explains that she carries her grief wherever she goes, but she needs to “get down with the juice” from the trip.
Angie gives Mary the lowdown on San Francisco, and of course, she left no details. Mary wonders how the ladies from her house, after a tragedy, went to this divisive behavior. Mary says that she is making lunch because she wants the group to come together and move forward.
Brittany the girl is turning 21, so there is a party to be held. When Heather at first she started hanging out with Britani, Britani’s relationship with her daughters was on the wrong side because she chose men over her children. But now, it seems that things are looking up. Bronwyn comes to celebrate, which is quite funny considering Bronwyn and Britani’s past. Whitney arrives just in time for Britani’s daughter to have her first sip of a drink.
Bronwyn explains that she closed on the HE house, for more than she bargained for. Everything is in trust, but Todd there is still a chance to see her credit card statement. Bronwyn goes on to say she was in Florida AND met her boyfriend’s parents… using Todd’s credit card.
The women feel that Quai is stuck in a strange place, and Whitney makes it clear that Quai is lying to everyone. According to Whitney, Quai believes she is “strong enough to handle it Meredith.” Whitney doesn’t want to fight Quai, but she’s sick of being on his back.
Mary brings the group back together for her “boss lady brunch.” While they were on a trip to San Fran, everything fell apart, and it’s time for the women to get together. Bronwyn isn’t thrilled to be around Meredith, but she says she’s done getting hurt. Now she’s just shut down, because she’s full of “hypocrisy and bullsh*t.”
Angie follows zero instructions from Mary and wears a tie to the brunch, but that seems to be the least of the problems. Angie confides in Heather about her relationship with her Shaw. She has more questions than answers when it comes to her marriage, and she feels like her life is falling apart. Heather explains that nothing in her life would have happened if she had stayed married – she would have lived a shell of life. Angie is grateful to have Heather to lean on as she navigates this difficult time.
Robert Sr. he gave each woman a “party favor,” a personalized flower arrangement. This group has stood in the gap for as long as your family, and it has helped her get through the hard times.
Whitney apologizes for hurting people while drunk in public. She admits that her behavior is not right and tells the women that she has a lot going on in her life. Lisa does not believe that something is really happening with Whitney because she is using him as a crutch.
Whitney goes on to say that “two of our other friends were rude in public” and that she is offended by Bronwyn. She thinks he was disrespecting Bronwyn, but Lisa says it’s Whitney’s point of view. Meredith says the song wasn’t about Brownyn, and she asks Bronwyn to seal her mouth as her lawsuit so she can explain herself.
Meredith doesn’t feel like she has to justify herself because Bronwyn can’t stop talking. She never intended to hurt anyone’s feelings and she felt that the song was a good idea. Bronwyn tells them that the song was not funny and that it was embarrassing for them. Meredith says she is “really sorry,” and Bronwyn chooses to apologize and move on. This is a big like a lady!
Lisa says she didn’t feel bad about the performance and refuses to apologize because she doesn’t say things she doesn’t mean. Lisa would rather write a check than say sorry. She started to sing the song to Bronwyn and says it’s about authenticity. Lisa reminds Mary that no one wants an empty apology and refuses to do so.
Meredith points out the biggest issue at hand with Whitney. Whitney had to build some sort of team of 50-year-old women to try and take her down. Quai jumps in saying she told Meredith this was happening.
Quai admits that she talked about Meredith and that she’s had this with Meredith ever since… According to Quai, Whitney said, “We’re excited that you’re coming to replace Meredith.” Whitney reminds Quai about what she said about Meredith, but Quai feels like Whitney was baiting her AND recording her. Angie has raised that point twice, but Angie goes back and says that everyone is always recording it, in general.
Whitney says she says she wants Meredith to leave. Mary is scared, as this is her first time in public with her condition. She is disappointed with the way things turned out among the women and is now questioning them all. Mary says with tears that she expected more from everyone. She tells Lisa that she is let down by her behavior and asks Whitney to get her together.
Whitney hosts Quai, who is worried about getting a recording. Whitney clarifies that there are no cameras inside the home, so it’s a safe place to talk. Quai explains that all the drama in the group came from Whitney. Whitney just wants Quai on her side of the street, and she feels a sense of duty to protect the relationship with Quai. Quai suggests they all move on and reminds Whitney that she can be friendly to EVERYONE. It is time to rebuild trust and keep the peace.
Heather, Angie, Mary and Lisa have a smaller group, as the bigger one was a disaster. Mary says Britani stole her flowers from the brunch. She took preparations from the table and took those she had given Mary as a gift. How strange. Apparently, Britani takes the flowers to nursing homes, but Angie feels like Britani goes there to try to get into people’s moods. Lisa says it’s “not beneath Britani to go to God’s waiting room” to get a little piece of the pot.
Angie is very happy to talk about her marriage to Shawn, which is strange. Angie lies through her teeth, saying that “life is life” and they’re just busy with their daughter.
Heather talks about her new bot. She’s having a party and he’s going to be there, which is really big. Heather is afraid to share this part of her life with the women, but everyone and their spouses attend.
Heather then talks about how Britani is trying to expose Bronwyn. Britani pulled up the act for Bronwyn’s home. Britani said the house is owned by the trust and Heather admits that Bronwyn is so sure. Lisa says everything is very difficult, right down to Bronwyn’s boyfriend. Lisa feels very PR driven. No one understands why Bronwyn behaves like this. Why does she “continue to end in a story that doesn’t rise?” She takes that phrase to be false until you take it too far, according to these women…
