Hannah Gosselin makes a surprising confession about her brother Collin in a TikTok story
Hannah posted a statement to her TikTok story after her brother’s memoir was released on October 13.
“I have decided to step back from the situation that is going on, because I have not lived with my father for over a year and I have not spoken to Collin for almost a year,” she wrote on October 21.
That’s not what Hannah had to say, though. The former child reality star told fans that she would not be clarifying any part of her relationship with Collin going forward. Not “behavior growing up” or “what I experienced growing up with.”
What did Collin Gosselin say about his sister, Hannah?
Although Collin has not spoken about Hannah recently, the 22-year-old told the media in the summer of 2025 that he was a little hurt by his sister’s reconciliation with their mother.
“What hurts me [about] is that Hannah wants to repair the relationship with my mother – Hannah wants to go into the emotional part and feelings of it because she cares about people,” he said. For my mom, it’s going on social media. He goes on TikTok and says, ‘Oh, hi, I just talked to Hannah today.’ So for Hannah, it’s a relationship, and for my mom, it’s a PR stunt, and that’s what hurts me the most.”

Hannah Gosselin breaks silence on relationship with brother after Netflix announces new documentary

Although Hannah doesn’t talk about her brother in detail now, that doesn’t mean she won’t, as Netflix recently announced a new documentary focusing on her, her father, Jon, and Collin.
“In the years since the Gosselins’ TV fame, conflicting accounts have emerged from within the family itself—competing memories of the same childhood, home, and time in the spotlight.
Jon, who finalized his divorce from Kate in 2009, acknowledged the documentary in a previous interview and said the production would give people a behind-the-scenes look and “fill in some big gaps”.
Fans criticize Hannah after a recent statement about her brother
News of Hannah’s participation in the documentary, despite her recent statements about where she is with her brother, has drawn criticism across social media.
On Reddit, a user questioned her appearance if she hadn’t spoken to her brother in “almost a year,” while another said her condition was “through.”
Another user suggested the documentary had already been filmed and said Hannah may be “scared” of losing the progress she made with her mother and siblings.
“She is afraid of rejection from her mother and sisters. I think her statement was all based on fear and partly false. She is feeling the heat from her mother today,” they said.
The TLC network is also under fire after Collin shared a heartbreaking clip online
Hannah isn’t the only one facing the heat these days. The TLC network, which has been airing “Jon & Kate Plus 8” for more than a decade, has also received pushback from netizens, according to The Blast.
The negative comments came shortly after Collin shared a clip of himself looking at a fallen logo in what appeared to be a confessional interview for the show.
“If I could go back and talk to the child I used to be, I would tell him that we survived more than ever before, and one day, we would find the strength to turn that pain into purpose,” he wrote.
The video clearly affected some of his followers, as one slammed the network and said Collin should “be held accountable for what happened.”
A second user agreed, posting, “I hate that TLC watched this and let it go. I hate that the excuse is ‘mental illness,’ but still not enough reason to stop filming.”
