Paris Hilton Shares the Y2K Looks She’d Bring Back (and the One She’ll Leave Behind)

If anyone knows which Y2K trends deserve another time, it’s him Paris Hilton.

The longtime style icon has been shaping beauty and fashion over the years, so it’s only fitting that she’s the face. NYX professional makeup latest If You NYX You Know campaign.

Inspired by Los Angeles, California hot spot, Mel’s Diner, the partnership provides a fun dose of nostalgia while giving a nod to Hilton’s The Simple Life days, managing her time working at Sonic alongside Nicole Richie.

As she reflects on the past, Hilton tells ET that she would probably be happy to wear it again, and leave the one she loved.

“I had a lot of fun with fashion back then, and I love that so many of those looks have become iconic now, but I think I’d leave Ed Hardy in the archives,” she admits.

However, some comeback staples are permanent.

“Pink, sparkly, glossy lips, and a super cute matching set will always be a part of my style. I’ve always loved fashion and beauty that feels feminine, fun, and confident.”

Of course, maintaining Hilton’s signature glam regimen starts with products she knows have staying power.

“My secret starts with the right long-wear formulas. I like to use a liner or stain first, so the color really stays in place, and then add a gloss on top for that glam finish.” Lip Lingerie Lip Liner stain and Lip IV Hydrating Gloss Stain amazing because they give you color that lasts, but still feels comfortable and hydrating, so you can have dinner, take pictures, and not worry about constantly touching up,” she shares.

“I lock everything in The facial glue setting spray. “I’m always running around as a mom, CEO, DJ and entrepreneur, so I have to keep my makeup looking flawless,” said Hilton.

The reality star’s cosmetic case also includes a mix of long-standing options and more recent additions.

“I like to fix Butter wisdom in Crème Brûlée with Slim pencil in nude pink. It gives that perfect soft nude-pink lip that works for day and night. Since pink is my favorite color, I am also happy with it Buttermilk blush in Butta Together. It’s such a beautiful baby pink and gives the skin a fresh, bright look.”

And while Hilton still draws inspiration from her early days in the spotlight, her wardrobe has evolved with her.

“I wear these trends in a more modern and smart way. It’s still Paris, only higher as a mother, CEO and slip.”

Welcoming son Phoenix, 3, and daughter London, 2, with husband Carter Reum, has also changed her approach to self-care.

“I’m much more intentional about taking care of myself. I try to stay hydrated, eat things that make me feel good, and make wellness a part of my routine when I can, whether it’s skin care, red light therapy, or just having quiet time with my babies. My schedule is very full, so for me it’s about consistency, not perfection.”

Parenthood has changed her perspective on what really makes her feel her best.

“Beauty has always been such a fun way for me to express myself, but being a mom has made me feel confident in a whole new way. My babies are my world, and they remind me every day what’s important.

These are just the lessons she hopes to pass on to her children.

“I want to teach them that beauty starts with being kind, confident and true to yourself. Of course, I’ll also teach them the classics: always take care of your skin, wear sunscreen, drink water, don’t sleep in your makeup, and have fun with beauty. Makeup should be fun and creative. It should make you feel like the best version of yourself.”
