Britney Spears’ ex, Kevin Federline, has reportedly racked up a massive credit card bill that he has yet to settle.

This isn’t the first time Federline’s finances have hit the headlines this year. In March, as reported by TMZThe former backup dancer was sued by Bank of America in Hawaii for failing to pay the $12,186.64 he owed.

Now, according to documents obtained by Page SixFederline owes at least $117,704 to City National Bank from credit cards, an overdraft, and a line of credit. As the service said, the DJ entered into a financial agreement with that bank sometime in November 2024, around the same time Spears’ child support payments ended.

In addition, the bank also seeks unpaid interest of 20.5 percent for credit card balances, 18 percent for an overdraft line, and 7.5 percent on a line of credit.

The former backup dancer received $40,000 in monthly child support

Federline initially had sole legal physical custody of his two sons with Spears, Sean Preston and Jayden James. In 2019, the deal was amended, giving Spears 30 percent of the undirected custody rights. Federline and the two boys moved to Hawaii sometime in 2023, seeking privacy and more career opportunities.

As part of the exes’ divorce settlement, Spears was ordered to pay $40,000 in child support to Federline, $20,000 for each child, until they graduate from high school or turn 18 years old.

Sean turns 18 in 2023, cutting child support payments in half. Jayden, on the other hand, completed his high school education in November 2024, effectively ending Spears’ child support payments to Federline, as reported by The Blast.

Spears and Federline married in September 2004, a few months after their first meeting. The whirlwind romance lasted for a few years before the singer filed for divorce in November 2006, citing irreconcilable differences.

The couple had a strict prenuptial agreement that protected Spears’ huge fortune (about $100 million at the time) and intellectual property, ensuring that Federline had no claim.

According to the terms of their divorce settlement, Federline received a one-time payment of between $1 million and $1.3 million. In addition, he was awarded $20,000 a month in alimony for half of their 26-month marriage, which totaled $260,000.

In 2025, Federline released his memoir, “You Thought You Knew,” in which he described his relationship with Spears and their co-parenting after the divorce, among other explosive revelations.

Here, he reflected on his recovery from the divorce, writing, “People hear figures like that and think you’re financially stable. But the truth is far from that,” per PEOPLE. The DJ then explained that raising two kids in LA, paying rent, childcare and other expenses added up and that didn’t make the money last as long as expected, especially since they were used to a certain lifestyle.

Regarding child support, he wrote, “The money was gone almost as quickly as it came in.”
