Kristi Noem‘estranged husband,’ Bryon’s first namespeaking out after the former Homeland Security Secretary filed for divorce following his public “bimbo” scandal.
“Bryon is saddened that the marriage is ending and is hoping for a private and amicable resolution,” said Bryon’s lawyer, Tim Bottumhe said in a statement to TMZ published on Wednesday, September 30. “If court cases require it, Bryon will welcome the opportunity to share his perspective truthfully.”
Bottom continued in the reported statement, “Bryon’s priority is to protect the family and move forward as loving parents and grandparents.”
Us also reached out to Bryon’s legal counsel for comment on the divorce but did not hear back at the time of publication.
According to court documents obtained by Us On Tuesday, September 29, the former governor of South Dakota, 54, filed documents to dissolve her marriage on April 6 in Hamlin County in South Dakota. (Us (reached out to Kristi and Bryon’s attorney at the time for comment but have not heard back.)
She cited “irreconcilable differences” as the reason for their split following her husband’s highly publicized “bimbo” scandal.
Earlier this year, Bryon hit the headlines after being accused of leading a double life amid his wife’s public affair with her ex. Donald Trump campaign manager Corey Lewandowski. In March, the Daily Mail published incriminating photos of Bryon apparently wearing fake breasts, claims that Byron paid to talk to models in the “bimbofication” scene via online forums. (Bimbofication refers to individuals who have undergone surgical enhancements in an attempt to look more like a doll.)
In the alleged photos, Bryon appeared to be dressed in hot pink pants while wearing fake breasts that looked like balloons. According to the outlet, Bryon allegedly paid $25,000 to chat with online models in the “bimbofication” scene.
According to the outlet, Bryon allegedly sent a message to one model in which he expressed his love for “big, really stupid boobs”.
Shortly after the alleged photos were released, Kristi broke her silence about the scandal.
“Ms. Noem is devastated,” a spokesperson for the former United States Homeland Security Secretary said in a statement to the New York Post on March 31. “The family was blindsided by this, and they ask for privacy and prayers at the time.”

Kristi and Bryon tied the knot in 1992. The couple has three children: daughters Kassidy and Kennedy and son Booker. Kristi and Bryon are also grandparents.
President Trump – who terminated Kristi’s tenure as Homeland Security Secretary and will reassign the former governor to what many have criticized as the “excessive” role of US Special Envoy for the American Shield – finally addressed the Bryon scandal.
“I feel bad for the family, if that’s true. That’s too bad,” Trump told the lawyer Daily Mail in March. “I didn’t see anything. I don’t know anything about it. That’s too bad, but I only know about it.”
