Gypsy Rose Blanchard asks fans to sign petition
Gypsy Rose on Instagram to address this cause.
All I have is my daughter and my voice. In honor of Ken, I am asking for your support of Kenan’s Law.
Before his death, Ken experienced a lot of online harassment and what we believed was crossing the line into targeted harassment and cyberbullying. Statements were made across multiple platforms, and far too often, the answer was simply: “No interruptions.”
Kenan’s Law is about changing how social media platforms handle various harassment reports. One viewed post alone may not tell the whole story—but hundreds of posts, videos, and comments focused on one person can reveal a pattern worthy of meaningful review.
This is not about criticism or taking away anyone’s freedom of speech. Public figures can and should be criticized. But public figures are still people, and fame shouldn’t erase someone’s humanity.
Ken’s death has forced me to turn pain into purpose. I can’t change what happened, but I can advocate for a better system for the next person who feels like no one is listening.
Please sign and share the petition to support Kenan’s Law.
Fame does not destroy humanity. A pattern cannot always be understood one post at a time.

Gypsy Rose Blanchard Says She Reported Cyber Bullying ‘Repeatedly’ Before Death
Here are some of the things Gypsy-Rose written in the Change.org petition.
My name is Gypsy-Rose Blanchard, and I’m asking you to stand with me in supporting Kenan’s Law, a proposed law that aims to change how major social media platforms respond when someone repeatedly reports online harassment and cyberbullying.
I am doing this in memory of Kenan Urker, my daughter’s father.
Ken recently died after a suspected overdose. At this time, we do not know if the overdose was intentional, and I will not discuss unproven circumstances.
What I can talk about is what happened before he died.
We reported it. Again and again.
Kenneth was a public figure and experienced a great deal of public scrutiny.
Across platforms including TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, and Reddit, there was widespread content about him that we believed crossed the line from criticism to targeted harassment and cyberbullying.
Ken made statements.
I made statements.
Videos were reported. Comments were reported. Posts have been reported.
And many times, the answer we got was:
“Unbroken.”
That’s the problem I want to change.
Social media platforms often rate individual pieces of content separately. One video will be reviewed. One idea is being explored. One post will be reviewed.
But harassment doesn’t always happen in one post.
Sometimes it’s dozens, hundreds, or thousands of pieces of content aimed at the same person over a long period of time.
When each report is considered individually, who is looking at the whole picture?
Public Figures are still people
I understand that public figures are subject to criticism.
Kenan’s Law would not prevent people from criticizing public figures.
People are entitled to disagree with us. They are supposed to dislike us. They have the right to talk about our actions and express opinions that may be hurtful or offensive to us.
Free talking points.
But there must also be a difference between criticism of someone and a persistent pattern of behavior that may be against harassment or safety policies.
Being a public figure doesn’t mean you stop being human.
What is Kenan’s law?
Gypsy-Rose shared, “Kenan’s Law is about creating a better process for identifying patterns. Because one post may not tell the story. One video may not tell the story. One comment may not tell the story. But when someone has repeatedly reported content that targets them, the system should be able to ask: ‘What is happening to this person across all these reports?'”
“By signing this petition, you are asking lawmakers to seriously consider Kenan’s Law – the Online Harassment Reporting and Accountability Act and establish stronger mechanisms for reported patterns of online harassment while protecting free speech,” the petition reads.
After his death, Gypsy Rose he said it was her “greatest love story,” and said before he died, he faced “relentless online bullying” and endured “an unbelievable level of public scrutiny.” She said the “cruelty directed at him was something no human being should have to endure” and that it had a “deep impact”.
