According to court documents obtained by Us on Tuesday, October 13, Savchenko, 43, says his 15-year-old daughter, Olivia, told him she was “subject to derogatory comments about her body, weight and appearance”.
In addition to the comments that he fears could provoke issues of insecurity, he has said that Olivia “has been receiving medication for weight loss without an appropriate medical examination and without the parental consultation required by the existing orders.”
“She has been subjected to long periods of silent treatment and her bedroom door has been removed as a form of punishment,” Savchenko said. “Although Olivia is upset with me right now (for reasons that her mother has influenced her to believe), I know that within time she will be back to herself, wanting to see and live with me because I gave Olivia a home without hostility, loving and accepting.
Savchenko said that he does not want the court at this time to change the main place of residence of the children. Instead, he wants any order allowing the children to stay in Hong Kong to include clear safeguards for the children’s physical and emotional well-being.

Although Olivia was spending time with her father in the United States, she returned to Hong Kong in September following a court order.
“My relationship with the children depends almost entirely on long, predictable blocks of time during the school holidays and reliable phone and video communication in between,” Savchenko said in court documents. “Each trip between Los Angeles and Hong Kong takes about 13 to 15 hours of flying each way, and a round-trip flight for the children is about $2,550 per child each way. A short, tentative or last-minute arrangement will not work for a family separated by an ocean.”
He said international travel expenses are a result of his wife’s choice to live in Hong Kong instead of California, noting, “I am willing to advance the children’s reasonable flight and I need travel expenses for my parenting time so that my time with them is not delayed by payment disputes.”
