Ryan Philippe looking back on a “wild night” with an ex-wife Reese Witherspoon.
In case you forgot, the 52-year-old 9-1-1: Nashville the actor was married to the 50-year-old Legally Blonde ‘actress from 1999 to 2008 and they share two children: a daughter Greyhound27, and a son Deacon22.
While appearing on Wednesday’s (October 14) episode of Live with Kelly and Mark, Rian he recalled an “out-of-body, out-of-mind experience” at the 2006 Oscars when his film fall Best Picture won in just minutes Race won best actress for Walk the line.
“All in all it was a wild night because my wife at the time, Reese Witherspoonalso best actress,” Rian divided. “While she was backstage giving interviews after the award, they announced Best Picture Fall.”
“Morgan Freeman the Best Picture presenter and I have never met Morgan Freeman so I went out on the stage at the Oscars,” he continued. “I’m like, ‘I’ve always wanted to meet you, sir,’ and this is while the producer is accepting the award. Kind of a funny moment.”
After their big night at the Oscars, Rian he recalled partying “until maybe 5 or 6 in the morning.”
“We had such a fun after party,” he said.
Although I was no longer married, Rian and Race have stayed close while co-parenting their children. Earlier this year, the whole family was together for Deacondegree from New York University.
In an interview from 2024, Rian dealing with nepotism in Hollywood after his children entered the entertainment industry.
