Christopher Abbott has seen several milestones this year, but being a father is at the top of his list.
The actor considered parenthood after the arrival of his first child Plaza Aubrey during the Thursday (October 1) program of Josh Horowitzand Happy Sad Confused podcast.
When asked to reflect on a year that included turning 40 and receiving a Tony nomination, Christopher share that nothing could go out to be a father.
“When you really think about it like that, I have to put my dad first,” said the East of Eden star said through the podcast.
Aubrey their first child was born earlier this year, just weeks after he was nominated for a Tony Award for playing Biff Loman in the Broadway revival of Death of a Salesman.
He also talked about the New York Knicks winning the tournament, saying that he is a lifelong fan and that he has been waiting for that special victory “for the longest time.”
Christopher also looking forward to the next chapter of his life and expressing his excitement for what is to come.
“I think by now, at least in my job, I’ve worked long enough and I feel like I’ve been around and met and made good friends in the industry,” he said. “I feel kind of comfortable with work in terms of, like, it comes and goes. … I’ve become more comfortable with that, but I have a child, [turning] 40, getting older, like the bigger living things, a little more weight.”
