Recently, Victoria Monét sat down with Complex and laid it down about the difference between cheating and spoiling someone with gifts. During the conversation, the interviewer brought up Drake, saying that he was a “professional actor” and a “master of trick-or-treating”. Victoria agreed that he was a “trickster”, but she also questioned what a trick really means. The singer wondered if people who wine, dine and shower someone with delicious gifts really want to spend their coins or just get a bunch of “compensation”. In the end, she said she just wants to understand the mindset behind dropping bags and popping tags.

Well, chileee! Since Victoria Monét tagged Drizzy during the conversation, he slipped right into the comments section of the LevelUpHipHop clip with some thoughts of his own. The Iceman explained that he believes that investing in the people you love brings blessings back all around. It is also seen as a way of recognizing constant love and loyalty.
“There is a return on investing in your soul to do things for people that you feel deserve it. Whether you feel that way now and they prove otherwise over time, or it is a movement to recognize constant love and loyalty there is no expectation on the other side.
Dr. Drizzy said it’s about self-awareness and blessing others because you’ve been blessed by yourself. So basically, it’s not hard if you get it!
