British Mahomes called AFC West officials after the Kansas City Chiefs suffered their second loss.
“You can’t tell me you’re calling that a game-winning TD [touchdown]Oh wait yeah I can take it we are,” Brittany, quarterback’s wife Patrick Mahomeshe wrote via her Instagram Stories before adding a smiley face emoji after the Chiefs’ Sunday, Nov. 1 game against the Denver Broncos. The Chiefs were defeated 28-24.
Brittany, 31, continued in white text over a black background, “That was the weakest call I’ve ever seen, you can’t tell me otherwise.”
The message was later captured and shared via X by an NFL insider Ari Meirovwhose followers agreed with the British view of the product. “No way Brittany Mahomes is complaining about refs bruh,” wrote one fan with crying face emojis, while another wrote, “Top fans are crying about the refs amazing to me.”
Brittany is a special public supporter of her husband, 31, who had a strong personal game on Sunday, passing for 321 yards and three touchdowns. She is a fixture at most Chiefs games, often bringing the couple’s three children, Sterling, 5, Bronze, 3, and Golden, 21 months, with her.
She has also been vocal about on-field action, most recently throwing subtle shade at the Las Vegas Raiders head coach Clint Kubiak after his team’s Oct. 4 loss to the Chiefs. “We’re winning. We’re going to win the game.’ 🤭,” Brittany posted on Instagram, apparently referring to a halftime interview Kubiak, 39, gave to CBS, when he promised the Raiders would win. (Vegas was leading Kansas City, 30-27, at the time of the interview.)
“That’s not good enough, you have to be better,” Kubiak told a CBS reporter Tracy Wolfson at the time. “But you know what? We’re winning. We’re going to win the game.”
