Singer Aubrey O’Day took to X and responded to NBC’s report about Sean “Diddy” Combs’ life behind bars.

The music mogul is currently in prison at FCI Fort Dix in New Jersey, serving a 50-month sentence for two counts of prostitution. He was acquitted of his other charges, including RICO and sex trafficking.

In late September, NBC News released footage of Diddy in jail, apparently holding a cell phone. Anonymous inmates also said that the rapper has a privileged lifestyle behind bars.

On X, O’Day responded to NBC reporter Chloe Melas’ post about Diddy, thanking her for the investigation.

“People should understand the difference between rehabilitation and a sh-tty vacation,” O’Day wrote, adding that Diddy’s situation behind bars shows a broken system. “This man will come back to be a worse criminal,” the singer said.

Four anonymous inmates described Diddy’s Prison Life

Diddy has been at Fort Dix for less than a year, and photos obtained by NBC News show the first sight of the rapper behind bars.

In the short clip, the 56-year-old rapper with a gray beard is seen wearing a white ball cap while using a cell phone, which is completely considered contraband.

Four inmates spoke to the news outlet anonymously and painted a picture of Diddy’s prison life. “This isn’t some normal sh-t you see in jail. This is rich sh-t. He looks crazy, but then again, he’s Diddy,” one of them said.

Several sources say that Diddy pays other inmates to handle basic tasks, such as making his bed or cleaning the bathroom before he uses them. The whistleblowers claim that people working on behalf of the outside rapper are paying prisoners through their commission accounts.

Other sources also claim that Diddy uses a cell phone and has a burning Instagram account and a modified tablet that he uses to watch movies.

In addition, they claim that he buys antidepressants, called Remeron, from other prisoners.

On weekends, he shares alcohol with some inmates, with the alcohol allegedly brought into the prison by guards. “Hell, I drank with him,” said one of the anonymous inmates, while another said, “Almost the day he arrived, the party started.”

The Rapper’s Disgraced rival poked fun at him

According to an NBC report, Diddy has watched the Emmy-winning Netflix documentary, Sean Combs: The Reckoning, produced by his longtime rival, 50 Cent.

Like O’Day, 50 Cent accepted Diddy’s prison situation, but while O’Day took a more serious view of the situation, the rapper made fun of his longtime nemesis and even promoted his movie, “Street Fighter,” in which he will play Balrog.

50 Cent posted a screenshot of the NBC report, specifically the part where he read Diddy watched the documentary, and wrote, “Hahahahaha check out my old Emmy Award winning doc Combs the Reckoning on Netflix coming to a prison near you. LOL STREET FIGHTER.”

O’Day has been one of Diddy’s most infamous critics, after accusing the music mogul of mistreating artists and firing him from Danity Kane in retaliation after he rejected his sexual advances. Her latest comments about his prison environment add to her longstanding criticism of the rapper.

Meanwhile, Diddy’s prison sentence has moved several times, with his sentence extended and reduced due to rule violations and participation in a drug rehabilitation program, respectively. Its original planned release date was May 8, 2026, but has since been pushed up to January 21, 2028.
