Nicolas Cage stated that it will likely never work with Amazon or Main video again.
The 62-year-old actor recently starred in the one-season series Black oxwhich premiered on Prime Video earlier this year.

While he was present 2026 New York Comic Con on Saturday (October 10), Nicolas share why it “might” not work with Amazon in the future.
Nicolas Cage reveals he doesn’t want to work with Amazon because of AI
Speaking on stage at a New York Comic Con panel, Nicolas said the company’s embrace of AI was the reason he wouldn’t want to work for them again.
“Amazon is a very AI-friendly company, up to $50 billion invested in OpenAI,” he said, via Different. “I’m not an AI-friendly actor, so, connect the dots! I’m not a member of their club. I didn’t sign the waiver to allow him to use AI on Black ox. I may never work with that studio again, but that’s okay.”
However, he hopes to work with the rising Gen Z filmmakers, like Backrooms‘ Kane Parsons.
“I had to get with these young leaders who are Gen Z, and they’re going their own way, whether it’s through YouTube culture or whatever it is,” he said. “They make it from scratch and by hand. I want to get with that.”
Nicolas he also said he was interested in doing more television, where he then revealed that he would star in the next season of True Detective!
