Ella Langley back to the stage after a last minute hiatus this past weekend.

The 27-year-old “Choosin’ Texas” singer was scheduled to perform at the BOK Center on Friday (October 9) in Tulsa, Okla., but canceled the show hours before it was supposed to start due to a “serious security threat.”

Captain Richard Meulenberg The Tulsa Police Department spoke to reporters outside the center, providing insight into their investigation and saying no credible threat was found.

The next night (October 10), Helen she hit the stage for a scheduled concert in Lubbock, Tex., and addressed the canceled show the night before.

“When it comes to keeping you safe and making sure this show is a safe place for us to come and enjoy our music, it will happen – but the second it feels like it won’t, I’m not doing it,” she told the crowd, via social media posts. “I’m not doing it, because nobody’s life is worth it at a concert.

“I would have made yesterday’s decision 10 billion times over – and I would do it tomorrow and I would do it the next day because, although I am grateful to do what I do, it is not the most important thing in this life,” Helen continue “The most important thing in this life is the people around you who love you and are there for you no matter what. The most important thing in this life is to make sure that you wake up every day and feel like, ‘You know what? I’m good today and I’m so thankful that you woke up today.'”

The singer then noted how she thought about canceling the Texas show as well, but she “felt this call and this pull in my chest” that said, “It’s okay, we’re safe and we can do this show.” She said this was because of the relationship she had with her Jesus Christ.

Helen she told the audience on Saturday that she did not want to “live in fear” and continue her tour.

“We’re going to put music on and do this for the rest of our lives,” she said. “I know that because this is my calling. That’s what I was asked to do, and I’m going to continue to do it – and no one is going to talk to me. [or] make me afraid of it. No, it won’t!”

She thanked the crowd for showing up after “yesterday was scary.”

“It was scary for all of us, but we are so grateful to be playing this show tonight… and we will never take this for granted. [and] I wouldn’t trade it for the world. It’s my favorite thing to do in life.”
