Kelly Clarkson dealing with Art of Play’s reaction when she announced the Brooklyn shop.

The 44-year-old Emmy Award-winning host and singer called the store on Saturday (October 10) after having a less-than-ideal shopping experience.

Then, the store responded, talking to the backup and saying that the item she was interested in was not available for purchase.

Now, the back and forth continues as Cell hit back with a screenshot of Molly’s songbird price and addressing her previous claims that the worker offered her something else that was less expensive.

Kelly Clarkson responds that the Brooklyn Shop claim item is not for sale

Cool, cool. Yes, it was not for sale. That’s the statement that Art of Play goes by

so the whole conversation we had didn’t happen when I asked if it was for sale while I pointed to the price hanging on the wall with the title Singing Bird as the elevator looked at me saying in a condescending tone “yes, it is for sale but it costs 15,000 dollars so if you want me to find something similar to you I can.” No. that never happened and now it is not for sale. Okay, cool. So not only are you rude, you are also a liar. got it

And by the way, I obviously support small business because I was literally at a small business trying to buy things. I love small businesses and I know they are important and I will always support them, but you don’t get a free pass to treat people less than in your store just because you are a small business. It’s not that hard to be kind. I never blow people up but you my friend were an exception. Your store is very cool. Unfortunately, you are not. – Kelly Clarkson via Twitter/X

Along with her role, Cell shared a screenshot of a post saying the item she asked about wasn’t for sale, and another that shows the price tag listed next to the songbird.

What was Kelly Clarkson trying to buy?

In a statement shared on Instagram, Art of Play revealed that Cell asked about buying an item named “Molly.”

According to the source, Molly is a unique mechanical bird that sings and dances and is used in the magic shows that are held in the Brooklyn location.

“When you turn the crank Molly starts to sing and dance and move back and forth, just like a real bird,” the store previously said on social media. You can see the bird in action on their Instagram story right now, which they have named: “that bird.”

The source explained that Molly is permanently attached to a wall and is not available for purchase.
