Tyreek Hill found guilty of two counts of domestic battery

Tyreek Hill was found liable for battery on Tuesday, October 13, according to ESPN. Hill was found guilty of two counts of battery against his wife, Keeta Vaccaro. After that, Vaccaro received $500,000.

However, the jury did not find Hill liable for eight other domestic violence claims made by Vaccaro, and was denied the punitive damages she had been seeking – $8 million. The claims included assault, intentional infliction of emotional distress and additional battery claims, according to TMZ.

The jury was shown a nanny cam video from April 2025 that captured Hill and Vaccaro screaming at each other. Hill can be heard saying he was leaving with his daughter, and pictures showed him picking her up.

“I’m going to take my daughter and get the f*ck out,” said Hill as he picked up his baby.

The Shade Room previously reported that Vaccaro filed for divorce following the incident, which took place in Sunny Isles Beach, Florida. Vaccaro’s mother, Alesia Vaccaro, she called 911 and said Hill had shaken Keeta while she was holding the baby. In addition, she said Hill walked toward a 35th-floor balcony after he threw the child up, telling her to call 911. She said Hill had anger issues, and the jury found Hill responsible for the incident.

Keeta Vaccaro’s testimony affects the courtroom

As reported by The Shade Room, the former couple’s divorce trial began on Tuesday, October 6. During the divorce proceedings, Vaccaro shocked the courtroom when she testified that Hill tried to punch her in the stomach while she was pregnant, according to The Athletic. Vaccaro testified that the incident took place in July 2024, and Hill had tried to punish her because he did not want the child, according to Law & Crime.

“I was standing before him,” Vaccaro said. “And then it’s just … at my stomach …. And like, I put my hands, you know, to block it and step back.”

Additionally, Vaccaro testified that the abuse began in January 2024 during a postnuptial agreement argument. She said Hill put his hands around her neck and snatched a necklace. In addition, Vaccaro said he grabbed and twisted her chest during the argument, according to ESPN.

Hill said he could be a better person. However, he denied that he physically assaulted his estranged wife. His attorney Michael Gottlieb said Vaccaro’s claims were “about money.” Hill’s other attorney, Christi Bright, said the NFL wide receiver is “grateful” to get a team out.

“Mr Hill was very happy to be able to get his story out there and to be able to tell the world what he couldn’t talk about.” said Bright. “It’s very much appreciated.”
