Although the A teenage mother cameras have not been rolling in time, as the last episode was broadcast last year, the main news of that world started today.
These stars were told sadly Cory Wharton and Taylor Selfridge have split after nine years together.
“A new chapter. Just me and my girls. ❤️ Taylor and I have decided to go our separate ways, as hard as that is to say publicly, I think it’s important to be honest about where my life is at this point,” Cory, 35, said on his Instagram today. “We shared many years, memories, love and most importantly, we have two beautiful daughters ❤️. I’m sorry, Taylor, that things didn’t work out the way we both hoped they would. I know there were times I could have been better, and I’m sorry for the ways I let you down.”
“But one thing that will never change is the kind of father I want to be,” he continued. “These three girls are my whole world 🌎, & going into this new chapter, it only makes me want to show them more. I want my girls to always know that no matter the changes in their lives, Daddy isn’t going anywhere. Always FREE!”
Cory noted that he has his “hands full” with his three daughters, but “wouldn’t have it any other way.”
“I’m so thankful that God gave me this position to be in,” he said. “Being a Daddy’s Girl is what I was put on this earth to do. I’m excited for what the future holds, also scared and nervous as hell. I guess those are all natural feelings though.”
“I just wanted to thank my family and all my boys for being there with me through everything,” Cory concluded. “I need my town more now than ever. I appreciate you all 💯 Love y’all! New Chapter. Same dad. ❤️”
Taylor, 32, took to her Instagram Story to post a much more pointed message.
“Yes, I left,” she said, “I was sick that I didn’t get basic respect from the person I was with for 9 years and the father of my two children. I’m sure everyone could tell in the last few years. I deserve more than that and I will get it. End of story.”
Throughout their relationship, Cory faced many rumors of being unfaithful to Taylor. On a program of Teen Mom: Family Reunionhe finally broke up with her, saying that he had cheated on her early in their relationship.
To add even more fuel to the fire, on the current season of The Challenge that Cory is on, he admitted that he was attracted to and flirting with one of his mates while Taylor was at home.
The couple met while filming MTV Ex on the beach in 2017, girls division Milla6, and Maya3.
