“I’d rather be boring than break up the marriage of a man with eight children.” Fighting words from bored old Ireland. The Passover Seder is still happening on this episode of The Real Housewives of New York City…and so the fight between Erin and Hailey.
Hailey is sick of these rumors coming up again about her dating life in the past and she says that the whole world sent her a false report. Hailey calls Erin a “piece of sh*t,” but Erin says that Hailey has graced every magazine cover she’s been on, so Hailey couldn’t be mad at him.
Hailey tells Erin FU and refers to her as a “lying snake a*.” She warns Erin to watch her back and yells that Erin is always playing the victim while lying about everyone. Carol tries to explain to Erin that this is not a relative fight, but Hailey leaves the house, sending Daisythe hostess, in a strange place.
Sai running after Hailey and reminding her that she had to stand up for herself. Erin says she feels bad that Hailey is now upset, but maybe if Hailey hadn’t been talking behind her back, that wouldn’t have happened. Sai realizes that Hailey is suffering from PTSD about her past and does her best to remind Hailey that she shouldn’t let anyone steal her fun activities.
Carole takes a moment to clear the air with him Jessel because she admits that she struggles with Jessel’s A Love Story opinions. She goes on to say that this summer has been very painful for her and she reminds Jessel of that Carolyn Bessette it is more than clothes and beauty. Carole calls Jessel’s demeanor “ding bat vibes” rather than “mean, b*tchy vibes.” To end the conversation, Carole tells Jessel that she should never talk about the Kennedy curse again.
These women are ping-ponging from one fight to the next. Jessel denies that she made fun of Daisy’s apartment, saying she thought they were laughing together. Daisy felt a little judged as the ladies pointed out her popcorn tops. Daisy reminds Jessel that they’ve been in their rented apartment for over 20 years so she can deal with popcorn ceilings…
Sai lets Daisy know that she is breaking her bank for the utilities she pays for in her apartment. According to Daisy, Sai’s rent is like $25,000.00. crazy Sai wonders why where she lives is even a topic and points out that Daisy is always giving her unsolicited advice. Sai tells the group that she is happy where she lives and that’s it.
Eric making a toast to invite the ladies to her private island (she would never have popcorn ceilings) for a girl-only trip. When they leave to return home, Hailey refers to this as the worst Seder in history.
Carole loves the theater and has joined an off-Broadway theater group. There’s a gala coming up as a way to raise money so naturally Carole has invited $Erika$,. Unfortunately, Erika cannot attend because she was invited Anne Hathaway to go to Devil wears Prada preview. Feeling. Now what is Carole supposed to do with the rest of the gang she invited?!
Sai visits with her aunt and explains that she is like her sister’s fifth child. Her aunt advises her about Sai’s relationship and points out that there was never any relationship between Sai and her husband. Sai would like a divorce, but she is taking baby steps towards that goal. She still hasn’t talked to her children about this situation, but once she found out he put a birthday dinner on her credit card, Sai knew there was nothing left to save.
The lack of communication in her marriage has eaten her alive, especially after her mother’s death. Sai’s mother stayed at their house when they went on vacation and, in a drunken stupor, destroyed the place. She didn’t let the dog out, painted the walls, and destroyed Sai’s home. It is this behavior that sent her mother to an asylum and the fact that she has died three months later, leaving Sai with enough guilt. David and Sai never had a conversation about her mother and she says that she does not have a husband in her husband.
Speaking of partners, Jesse questions her husband about his work situation… the one he’s keeping under wraps. One income puts a lot of pressure on Jessel and she realizes that he needs a reality check.
Hailey has decided to leave town and go to the ‘burbs to spend time (and bird watching) with her mother. Hailey calls Erin a bully and says that Erin hurt her on purpose. Hailey makes it clear that it still hurts when someone brings this up and that Hailey’s mom makes it all about her. Classical.
Hailey explains that her mother was good friends with him John and he wanted Hailey to give him head. Because she always wanted to make her mother happy and proud, Hailey went through with it, despite being in her twenties. Hailey says that she has healed herself because this was all set up by her mother.
Later, Martha and her publicist meet with Daisy to discuss the upcoming album. Martha wants Daisy to follow her all the time and is mad because Daisy isn’t always on her lap. Being around Martha impresses Daisy as she has a taste for luxury, with a popcorn ceiling budget.
It’s the night of the gala for Carole’s theater group and Hailey just pretends that Erin isn’t there. She doesn’t say hello to Erin, but thankfully bubbly Jennifer Tilly (and her “banjos”) arrive to end the tension.
Jessel arrives just as the gala begins, but as Hailey sits next to Erin, the fight continues, this time at a whiskey high. Hailey still can’t believe that Erin would do that to her and they joked, despite being quiet during the celebration. Hailey tells Erin that she almost took over her life because of how things happened in her twenties. After much contention and acknowledgment that “conflict, resolution,” they have decided to move past the drama. For now.
