Heather Dubrow reveal what Emily Simpson she told off camera before the new season of the Real Housewives of Orange County – as she suggested that Emily was “luring” her into a “false sense of security”.
On the new season, while Heather was trying to encourage friendship with a newbie Carmella GarciaEmily pointed out on camera that Heather called Carmella trashy-looking before they met. Apparently Emily’s lawyer wanted to prove that Heather wasn’t real.
In an interview for the “B**ch Bible” podcast, Heather addressed the idea that she is insecure on camera.
“Listen, I’ve called people trashy on camera before,” she said.
“That’s your big bomb, anyway? Who cares?” replied the waiter Jackie Schimmel.
“Who cares?” Heather agreed. “And what’s so funny is – they didn’t show this, but I think Carmella talked about it in the After Show – I told her when I was apologizing, which I felt really bad about. …
Heather later spoke about how she felt at the beginning of the season that she “didn’t have a buddy on this show”.
“Literally, that was an understatement [meaning] you all want someone to have a safe place off camera, and I’d love that too,” she explained. “And so Emily told me — I didn’t tell anyone this — but Emily told me before the season started, she’s like, ‘You know what? I am your friend really. Me and Gene we are your friends, and you have a safe place with us.”
“Because sometimes you have to say something or vent about something or whatever it is [off camera],” she said, “And that doesn’t mean you’re insecure. This is not Big Brother or the Real World where we are filmed 24-7.”
Heather said she believes Emily was “luring” her into a “false sense of security”.
“I said that [comment] about [Carmella] to Gina. [Gina] Emily said. Anyway, she told Emily off camera. I mean, the irony. She said That’s all off camera. Then they put it on camera,” said Heather. “Then even my apology wasn’t enough.”
