Naomi Osaka she shocked fans when she posted a long text photo on her Instagram on her birthday.
The tennis player marked her 29th birthday with a diary entry on Instagram, explaining why she got “super emotional” around her birthday.
Fans note in the comments section that the message “scared” them because they thought she was announcing her retirement from tennis.
“I’m very grateful for my life. To wake up every day with goals and dreams, for all my family and friends to be healthy and happy – I don’t think there’s much more I could ask for, I don’t think there’s much more I want to ask for.” Naomi the note began.
She continued, “Somehow every year without fail I get really emotional around my birthday, I’m pretty sure it’s probably because I’m reviewing my own life inside my head. When I was younger I used to think I was always falling behind, my annual life reviews would make me feel like I wasn’t all something I did well enough and I had to keep doing more. As I’m nearing the end of my 20 tools I realized that I had started to get away. A pictorial ‘Cage’ that I felt a long time ago I’m so blessed to have collected another year’s worth of memories, blessings.”
One fan wrote, “Girllll don’t scare me like that! Happy birthday.”
Another said, “Don’t be afraid of such a girl.” Someone else wrote, “Reading the first few sentences…I thought you were resigning!”
