Miranda Kerr opened up about her decision to turn down an invitation to appear at the 2026 Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show.
“I was really considering it,” the Australian-born model, 43, admitted on the Tuesday, Nov. 3, episode of the “Not Skinny But Not Fat” podcast. “I just walked Stella McCartney and I had a great time. I felt very aligned with where I was, it felt very elegant and I love Stella.”
Kerr, who ended her time with Victoria’s Secret in 2013 when her contract expired, continued, “When Victoria’s Secret asked me [back]I was like, ‘Ooh, that could be fun,’ and I thought about the fun memories, and how fun it was and how cool it would be… to go back on the couch and give them a wink. I was excited.” (The Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show took place in Los Angeles on October 18, 20 years after Kerr stepped on the runway at the event.)
But despite friends and associates of the founder of KORA Organics encouraging her to bring back Victoria’s Secret, something didn’t feel right. “I got, kind of, nervous and then I was reflecting and I was really into, ‘How am I going to feel when I’m up there on the couch? Everybody’s in their underwear, I’m in my underwear, I’m 43, I’ve got four boys, I just … I got, like, this knot in my stomach,'” she says. to remember “As much as I tried to meditate and take it easy, it was still there.”
Kerr, who shares his son Flynn, 15, with an older man Orlando Bloomand sons Hart, 8, Myles, 6, and Pierre, 2, with her husband, Evan Spiegelhe said there was only one way to get rid of the knot.
“It’s the only way I could solve it [was] to say, ‘Okay, you’re not going to do the show. How do you feel now?’ [and] I felt the knot in my stomach loosen,” she said, “That’s why I knew it was the right decision for me not to do it as much as I wanted.”
When hosting a podcast Amanda Hirsch suggested that perhaps the model no longer felt “attached to that image” of herself, Kerr replied, “Maybe. I’m at a different stage in my life… [but] I love all these fun pictures.”
Kerr took to social media ahead of the Fashion Show to inform fans that she would not be appearing in the star-studded ensemble. “20 years since my first @victoriassecret show 🪽,” she wrote via Instagram on October 17.
She continued at the time, “It meant so much to be invited back this year, especially since it marks 20 years since my first show… but in the end I felt in my heart that it was right to cherish this chapter as it was. Sending so much love and light to everyone in this year’s show! 💖🌈🧚♀️.”
Along with the message, Kerr shared a series of throwback photos of herself on the Victoria’s Secret runway. In the comments section of the post, the brand supported the former star, writing via his official Instagram account, “Always an angel to us 💖🪽.”
