Big Brother host Julie Chen Moonves had a change of heart after criticizing a housemate Rick Devens‘ game play.
“I like it. You can’t like Rick Devens, so I’ve been humbled,” said Chen Moonves, 56, only. Us before the Thursday, October 1, finale of the CBS reality show. “Look, no one can be an acting phony for 87 days straight, especially in a show like Big Brother with the living animals. You can’t be a phony that long. He’s someone that’s very easy to root for.”
When Big brother 28 started in July, Chen Moonves was not the biggest cheerleader for Devens, 42, who previously competed on seasons 38 and 50 of A living man.
“I know people love Devens, and he was fantastic A living man,” she shared with her Entertainment every week at the time. “This is not A living manhoney This here [is] Big Brother.”
Chen Moonves called some of Devens’ early moves “terrible” before adding, “I was like, ‘Go back to the island, dude! I’m going to take out your flame.'”
Now that Devens is in the final three with Taylor Brown and Drew CampbellChen Moonves is happy to give credit where credit is due.
“I’ve been working it out between me and Jesus, and he tells me, ‘Love one another,’ and he tells me, ‘You don’t judge,’ and I think he’s teaching me a lesson for that reason. Us. “Don’t forget he’s older. He’s got a wife. He’s got two little kids. They were rooting for him. You want a guy to be able to provide for his family. …We’ll see.”
Before the Big Brother jury voting on Thursday night, Chen Moonves is proud of the final three for making it this far in an unpredictable game.

“I have butterflies in my stomach,” she said. “It’s anybody’s game. I’m excited, and I’m happy whoever wins because I’m very happy with these last three.”
