Julia Stiles maybe she has regrets who has been raising her since almost twenty-five years ago.
The “Save the Last Dance” actress is competing on the 35th season of “Dancing With The Stars” along with pro-partner Ezra Sosa. Her association with the film has caused several discussions regarding her dancing abilities.
However, Stiles’ journey on the dance show has been full of many surprises. Now, the Hollywood star is bringing her dancing skills back into the limelight with a recent comment.
Julia Stiles says it was ‘wrong’ to play dance training for ‘Save the Last Dance.’
While watching a video of herself from the “Save the Last Dance” interview in 2000, Stiles had some surprising thoughts for herself.
“I enjoy working so much that it’s only natural to focus on it, to succeed and to work hard,” Stiles, who was 19 at the time, could be heard saying.
Sosa, who was watching the video with the actress, could barely contain her laughter as she opened her mouth in shock.
“And of course, in this film, the dance training I had to do, I’ve put a lot of energy in. But it’s easy because it’s so much fun and I love to dance,” continued her younger self.
When the video was over, Stiles exclaimed how young she was, referring to herself as a child: “I’m personally shrinking. I’m glad people liked the movie, but I was a child!”
The Hollywood star then revealed that she felt she played the dance training at the time in interviews, admitting, “That was very wrong.”
She explained that a big reason she wanted to come to “Dancing With The Stars” was to take what she had learned from that movie and update it.
Julia Stiles Considered Her ‘Save the Last Dance’ Engagement on DWTS a Downside

Stiles’ reflection on her dance training also came as she previously acknowledged that her involvement with “Save the Last Dance” put her at a bit of a disadvantage, as reported by Entertainment Weekly.
“I stopped taking dance classes after that film because people expected me to be a good dancer,” she explained. “I’m a home dancer. I love dancing at home, and part of my reason for coming to this show is to, like, find joy in dancing again, find my confidence in dancing again.”
Stiles said that making the film was good training, and although it was a great opportunity, she felt very self-conscious and tight, expressing that she wanted to let that go.
Julia Stiles Set the Record Straight on Her Dancing Skills Ahead of ‘DWTS’

The “10 Things I Hate About You” actress’ dancing prowess has been the subject of debate since her stint on the competitive dance show, and in September she set the record straight on the true level of her skills.
Joining the TikTok movement, Stiles and Sosa responded to misconceptions about her professional dance training. She revealed that although she had received some training for the dance film, she had not danced before the film and did not continue to dance or receive training after it, almost three decades ago.
She also surprised fans by revealing that she had a body double that made more of the technical skills more difficult, as reported on The Blast.
Julia Stiles received a big apology from the Juilliard School

The actress continued to dismiss the profits around her, including clearing the air, although Johnson, her character, attended the Juilliard School, which Stiles himself did not.
But the institute had a funny take on the situation. After being called for mail saying Stiles was not attending Juilliard, they responded by sending her and Sosa an alumni package for the 40-year-old.
They included a cute note, saying they meant no shade in their former role, and that after the clerical error was corrected, her alumni gear was found under the name “Sara Johnson.”
The Blast reported that Stiles gushed over the gesture, calling it so sweet.
Julia Stiles On How ‘DWTS’ Helped Her Get Her Relationship With Fame Back
For Stiles, her appearance on “Dancing With The Stars” seems to be more than just showing off her dancing skills or getting endorsements. The experience has also become a very personal journey for her and her complicated relationship with fame.
Despite being in the spotlight at a very young age, Stiles admitted that she was scared, making her run in the opposite direction. The actress talked about how private she was, saying that she never cared about what people expected of her.
By joining the show, the “Dexter” actress is regaining her comfort in watching and rediscovering her love of acting. She credited Sosa with helping her regain the confidence to come out of her shell, according to The Blast.
