Carrey and Min Ah, also known as Minzi, made their relationship public at the César Awards in Paris in February, where the actor received an honorary award.

During his acceptance speech, the comedian gave a special shout-out to his partner, calling her “your sublime partner” before saying, “I love you, Min Ah.”

The couple have been linked since 2022 and were previously photographed together leaving an event in Los Angeles. Their appearance at the César Awards also included Carrey’s daughter Jane and her teenage son Jackson.

If the ritual is as reported by TMZ confirmed, this will be Carrey’s third trip down the aisle. He was previously married to Melissa Womer in 1987, with whom he shares a daughter Jane, before divorcing in 1995.

He married his “Dumb and Dumber” co-star Lauren Holly in September 1996, although their marriage lasted only eight months before ending in divorce.

Holly recalls her 90s friendship with Carrey

In May, Holly offered a more reflective account of their time together, focusing less on the brevity of their marriage and more on how closely their personal relationship was intertwined with their rapidly growing careers.

Speaking on Sophia Bush’s “Work in Progress” podcast, she recalled the unusual dynamic of their relationship in the 1990s. “At first, I was the more famous one. Like, it was kind of weird,” Holly explained.

The actress also acknowledged the intense attention their relationship received at a time when celebrity coverage was dominated by television programs, newspapers and magazines rather than social media.

Holly said that the relationship was ultimately successful as both actors experienced significant professional growth.

“We definitely marked each other in a lot of ways,” she said, adding, “If you look back at what we were both doing in our relationship, it’s really great because we were both, you know, growing incredibly, and I think we helped each other.”

Holly’s reflection on how she and Carrey supported each other professionally also put context to how much the actor’s attitude towards marriage changed later.

After his second marriage ended, Carrey became very hesitant about walking down the aisle again, even while involved in serious relationships.

In 2008, Carrey revealed that he had no plans to remarry. “I probably won’t get married again. If you’ve done it twice, you should stop,” he said. P.E.OPAN.

He confirmed those doubts in a 2014 interview with Howard Stern, saying, “I just don’t see it as necessary, at this point.”

At the same time, Carrey admitted that he could not predict how he might feel if he met someone who changed his mind. “I can’t make hard, fast rules about the future,” he said.

Carrey’s romantic history includes Renée Zellweger and Jenny McCarthy

The public attention on Jim Carrey’s marriages has also followed his relationships outside the corridor, especially his romances with Renée Zellweger and Jenny McCarthy.

Both relationships became important chapters in the actor’s personal life, with each former partner talking about the 64-year-old in different ways.

Carrey and Zellweger met while working on “Me, Myself & Irene” and became romantically involved around 2000.

Their relationship was relatively short-lived, but Carrey described Zellweger warmly when discussing their romance during a 2020 appearance on “The Howard Stern Show.”

“She was special to me, very special. I think she’s beautiful,” said the “Truman Show” star.

In contrast, McCarthy and Carrey had a much longer relationship. They were together for about five years after going public with their romance in the mid-2000s and split in 2010.

McCarthy later said she was still grateful for the years they shared and described Carrey as someone she cared about.

Their breakup was also complicated by McCarthy’s son, Evan, who Carrey was close to during their relationship.

Carrey’s history with former partners took another turn when McCarthy warmly welcomed seeing him back in the spotlight.

Talking to PEOPLE at the iHeartRadio Music Awards on March 26, McCarthy addressed the viral theories that someone else had appeared as Carrey at the 2026 César Awards in Paris. The 53-year-old actress, who dated Carrey from 2005 to 2010, had no doubts about his identity.

“It was definitely Jim Carrey,” McCarthy said, and then explained what she noticed when she looked at his appearance.

According to her, “He looked really happy at that awards show. And I was happy for him. That’s the first thing I noticed. I said, ‘Oh wow, Jim looks really happy.'”

McCarthy attended the iHeartRadio Music Awards with her husband, Donnie Wahlberg, who also pushed back against the focus on Carrey’s appearance.

“We’re so happy with how he looks that we never imagined how happy he looked,” Wahlberg said.
