When it comes to Nikki’s role in Obsession:
“I had heard a lot … And on my second audition for ObsessionI just couldn’t get there. I thought, well, shout out to whoever plays Nikki, because it won’t be me!…When I got the phone call that I got the part, my heart sank in my head. I realized that I needed to work on my anxiety. But getting the movie felt like kismet.”
On the actress who left her star:
“Gemma Chan he was in an elevator at the Toronto Film Festivaland I began to blurt out, ‘Your character entered Crazy Rich Asians it was so meaningful to me because she was deceived, and she left and never looked back.’ And Gemma Chan said to me, ‘You’re a big fan.’ I was like, ‘Shut up! Don’t talk about my achievements – I want to talk about you!’”
On her first red carpet experience:
“…I was wearing this orange kind of shimmery thing that looked like a bodysuit. I thought I looked great. I remember that Jessica Chatan I said I looked beautiful, and I went out.”
On her newfound stardom:
“To be honest, I’ve never thought about this. It’s a little overwhelming sometimes … but every day feels like the best day of my life so far.”
