Halle Berrya girl speaks out in defense of her mother.
Last week, the 60-year-old Oscar-winning actress’ ex Olivier Martinez filed for a temporary restraining order against her, claiming she physically abused their 13-year-old son Maceo. Oliver60, claims that Maceo he called him, and told him that Halle he allegedly physically assaulted him and choked him. Read more information in our original post.
Halle denied the charges, but a judge still ruled Oliverfavor and granted the temporary restraining order.
In response to Oliverthe charges, Halle18-year-old daughter Nahla denied the claims in an affidavit filed in Los Angeles Superior Court on October 3. Halle shares Nahla with a former partner Gabriel Abry.
“I never saw anything abusive about her parenting,” Nahla she wrote in her declaration, per People.
She went on to explain Halle as a “loving and devoted parent” who is “warm, supportive, and very involved,” and “can be strict when necessary and expects her children to follow rules and be considerate.”
Nahla she went on to say that she never saw her mother physically abused Maceo.
“I never saw my mother hit, slap, choke, grab, or physically abuse me Maceo in any way,” Nahla write “I’ve never seen my mother put her hands around Maceohis neck, choke him, obstruct his breathing, or engage in any conduct consistent with the allegations made against her.”
Nahlawho shares time with Halle and her father, that she lived Maceo for most of his life. She noted that later Halle and Oliver separated in 2015, her mother “coordinated” the schedules of both children to maximize their time together.
The college student also admitted Hallepublic life, saying she “always made time for” her children and prioritized what was important to them.
“She attended his games, drove him to practices and competitions, and advocated for his education and access to medical treatment and therapy,” she wrote. “She celebrates our successes, supports us through challenges, and is always there when we need her.”
“I never doubted my mother’s love for me,” Nahla continue “She consistently gave me stability, support, guidance and unconditional love.”
She also said her mother “never” talked about it Oliver or Gabriel50, which Maceo. “My mother always encouraged us to maintain loving relationships with our fathers.”
Nahla then claiming that Oliver hit up Gabriel when she was a child.
“In all my years living with my mother, I never saw her act violently against anyone; however, I remember Oliver hitting my father in our way when I was little,” she said. “I never saw my mother throw anything at anyone, not a knife, or a plate, or anything else. I never saw my mother hit, slap, choke, grab, or physically abuse me Maceo in any way.”
She noted that she had seen her brother and mother “playfully wrestle, tickle each other, and go around laughing on the floor or on a bed many times,” she later said, “I never saw Maceo hurt, upset, cry or do anything but laugh after he and my mom wrestled.”
Nahla she also said that she spoke to her Halle and Maceo on the same phone call two days after the alleged incident on September 29, noting that Maceo “He didn’t seem upset about anything.”
“I was shocked, very sad, and very upset when I learned about it Oliverallegations against my mother,” she wrote, adding that she is upset about it Oliver because she feels like an “afterthought for [him] in his attempt to destroy my mother.”
Also in her statement, Nahla description of how Maceo interaction with their mother.
“I believe he loves our mother very much and has a close relationship with her,” she wrote. “At the same time, I have also seen moments Maceo has been disrespectful, sometimes aggressive, and unwilling to follow rules at home.”
Nahla she also confirmed that she did not speak to her Maceo because Oliver she initially filed the charges because she is not sure what is allowed under the law, but she hopes to talk to him soon.
“This has been confusing to me because Maceo he’s my brother, I care about him a lot,” Nahla wrote, “and I’m worried about the effect these proceedings are having on him and his relationship with my mother.
