Has Allison Williams Earned Her ‘Scream Queens’ Title?
Although she may be best known for her role in “Girls”, Allison Williams has appeared in many horror films throughout her long career, such as 2017’s “Get Out” and 2018’s “The Perfection”, as well as 2022’s “M3GAN” and its 2025 sequel “M3GAN 2.0”.
“I think, because I don’t really do a lot of screaming, to be very literal about it,” Williams told PEOPLE magazine when asked if she earned the title. “So I don’t know if I earned it.”
“In get out – I am the horror. I’m the danger in that movie,” she said with a laugh. In Jordan Peele’s debut, Williams plays the girlfriend of Daniel Kaluuya’s character.
Allison Williams wants to continue appearing in horror films

Even though she has plenty of comedy roles under her belt, Williams revealed that she really enjoys starring in horror movies. “I love the genre. I think it’s so fun, and I hope I can continue to play in movies that mix horror and other things,” she told the publication.
However, she admitted that she was “too scared to watch most things,” including the Apple TV comedy series “Widow’s Bay,” which won an Emmy at the 2026 Emmy Awards.
“Widow’s Bay it took weeks of working up the courage to watch it, while everyone was like, ‘Allison, this show isn’t scary,’ and I was like, ‘Look at me watching it through a blanket,” Williams said. “You don’t understand.’ The same with Obsession.”
Williams will next appear opposite Michelle Randolph and Simu Liu in “Homewrecker,” a science fiction survival thriller. She also has a role in “Tangled Up In Blue”, which tells the story of a talent manager who reunites with an ex.
Allison Williams Coy Played About ‘Girls’ Revival

Allison Williams reunited with her father, Brian Williams, on an episode of his podcast, “We’re Back! With Brian Williams!” back in June, as reported by The Blast. Before Dunham announced the five-part comeback, Brian asked his daughter if he could see the “Girls” back together on screen.
“Oh my God, I’d love that. The answer is, I hope so,” Allison replied. “I’ll be there if they call. I’m just there.”
Williams went on to say that it is “more likely” that a “girls” reunion would happen now, given how many years have passed.
“It becomes more and more likely that every year passes, because it would become more and more interesting to talk to everyone, since I am, this year, 40 years old. Lena has just reached 40,” she explained. “We are in a new phase of our lives.”
“I would be just as nervous to catch up with everyone,” she said. “It would be so fun to get the gang back together.”
Who will return to the ‘Girls’ Revival?

Many fans are eagerly awaiting the return of “Girls,” even though production is not expected to begin until 2027. Dunham will return as Hannah, and Williams will reprise her role as Marnie. In addition, Jemima Kirke will portray Jessa, Zosia Mamet will return as Shoshanna, and Andrew Rannells will continue to portray Elijah.
The first release made no mention of the “Star Wars” alum. Adam Driverwho appears to have had a tumultuous relationship with the “Girls” creator. In her 2026 memoir, “Famesick,” she said he punched a hole in his trailer, screamed in her face, and even threw a chair at her during a time when she forgot her lines.
Lena Dunham reveals the last time she spoke to Adam Driver

As previously reported by The Blast, Dunham’s interesting book also mentioned the last time she spoke with the “House of Gucci” actor. She says they last talked in the car after filming the final episode of “Girls,” which premiered in April 2017.
In the book, Dunham said that Driver “held my hand in silence” as they rode home, and that he and his wife, the actress Joan Tuckerliving “across the street” from her at the time. She claims that Driver kissed her on the cheek and forehead after he “accepted [Dunham] in his arms.”
After the turmoil she described in the book, she said she hoped for a “different future” with the actor, who will appear in the X-Men reboot as the villainous Mister Sinister.
“Who knows – maybe I’ll write new parts for him,” she said. “We would tell new stories. We would laugh at how things were, and laugh at how they were now.”
Unfortunately, she admitted, “I never heard from him again.”
