Florence Pugh posted on Instagram about her post about the alleged sexual assault at Cornell University.
On Sunday (September 27), Flora on her social media to release a statement about this, as the story has gone viral across social media. She specifically called on people to stand up in this moment, and sent a message to Jane Doe.
Florence Pugh realized that her post was being censored
She reposted her original statement to the Instagram grid, writing, “Instagram decided to block my post from getting in front of the right people.
She also took to her Instagram Story to post about it.
“Unfortunately, neither I nor some of my followers can access the recent post I wrote about Cornell College sexual abuse,” she wrote on her Instagram Story. “Why is that? Has it been leaked to other people? Am I being censored for talking about rape?”
She then realized that it was said to have been partially removed, saying, “Some people only see the trigger warning and some can’t swallow it. Great! Another beautiful lesson to teach people that if you talk about it, we’ll shut you up! Good job I saved him. I’ll give it another go.”
“Instagram, at least we can see which side you’re on,” she continued. “Don’t defend rapists. It’s pathetic behavior.”
