Eminem and Kids Rock are working together again and their latest collaboration is attracting a lot of attention for a surprising reason.
The two Michigan musicians have reunited for a new song called “7 Sins,” which appears on Kids Rockthe upcoming faith-focused album Halfway 2 Jesus.
Kids Rock the album’s album surfaced this week, and some fans were wondering if it was Eminemthe name of the project was valid. However, a representative for the “Lose Yourself” rapper confirmed to Complex that the rapper does indeed appear on the song.
What is Eminem and Kid Rock’s new song about?
Although the full song is yet to be released, Kids Rock he gave us some insight into why he wanted his longtime friend on the project.
In an excerpt from the album’s intro obtained by Complex, Kids Rock he explained that he and Eminem have remained close even though they don’t always agree politically.
“I am proud of the guests who joined me, especially my old friend Eminem,” he wrote.
The “All Summer Long” singer continued, “We hope that will be an example to people who have lost friends or stopped talking to family because they think differently.”
Both stars have publicly taken challenging political positions over the years. Kids Rock has been his prominent supporter Donald Trumpwhile Eminem appeared at a campaign rally in Detroit for Kamala Harris in October 2024 and publicly encouraged voters to support her.
This is also not their first time working together, as Eminem has appeared before Kids Rock1998’s “F*** Off,” from the album Devil without reason. Kids Rock he also made a cameo in Eminemmusic video for “Berzerk” in 2013.
Halfway 2 Jesus is expected out on October 17. In addition Eminemthe album includes appearances from Rascal Flatts a singer Gary LeVox and Jimmy Allenwho joins him on the title track, per Billboard.
