Days of Our Lives Alum Robert Kelker-Kelly Dead at 62 – Here’s What We Know

Robert Kelker-Kellywho is best known for playing Bo Brady forward Days of Our Livesdied at 62.

The actor died Saturday in Missouri, according to the medical examiner and first reported by TMZ Monday morning, although the cause of his death has not yet been determined.

According to the St. Louis Police Department Peters in that Missouri city, officers were called to the Kelker-Kelly home around 8:16 pm Saturday night after receiving a report of an unconscious man not breathing. CPR had already begun when police and EMS were dispatched.

Despite the efforts of officers and paramedics to save his life, Kelker-Kelly could not be revived. The authorities said TMZ there was nothing suspicious about the scene and that the situation appeared to be consistent with a medical event.

Kelker-Kelly began his acting career in 1987 on AAnother worldwhere he played Sam Fowler.

But it was his time in Salem that made him a familiar face to soap fans. He went along Days of Our Lives in 1992, taking over Bo Brady’s iconic role from Peter Reckell. During his run, he starred opposite Christian Alfonsoand Hope Brady and Add a chestand Billie Reed before Reckell returned to Brady’s role in 1995.

As for Kelker-Kelly, it appeared later General Hospital as Stavros Cassadine and he also worked as a professional pilot for a while, per TMZ.

Also… Kelker-Kelly made headlines again earlier this year when Rinna discussed their contentious working relationship in her memoir. She accused the actor of being abusive and manipulative and said it was how he left the soap NBC to provide security for her and Alfonso.

Kelker-Kelly has not publicly responded to these allegations, FYI.

Nevertheless, his death is a special loss for the soap world.
