The Early and the Beautiful reveals that Daphne Rose (Murielle Hilaire) knows Carter Walton (Lawrence Saint-Victor) and Steffy Forrester (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) is in the process of insemination, I don’t think it will be too long before Carter goes ahead and tells Daphne that Steffy is pregnant.
Even though we know all this, the whole genealogy thing, the procedure is a lie. Today we’re going to talk about Carter shocking Daphne with another outburst. And I think he’s going to say that Steffy is already carrying their child.
Bold and Beautiful: Daphne in Shock
Okay, so we all saw Daphne’s jaw drop with Carter telling his wife that he and Steffy went ahead with the insemination procedure and as expected, Carter fibbed and said it was a question of timing that just worked out. Of course, Daphne was blind. Because she was left out of it. She confronted Carter and Steffy and we saw Daphne with mixed emotions. She is very happy that the process has been started and that they are one step closer to her as Carter welcomes a baby into the world.
However, Daphne expected this to be a process done over months with her involvement and she recognized that Steffy is a wonderful friend to do this with. Daphne said that Steffy is a wonderful person, which made Steffy feel even worse. Because she is lying next to her best friend’s face. But at the same time, Daphne was upset that Carter and Steffy didn’t tell her so she could be a part of it.
If Daphne only knew
Daphne was shocked and couldn’t believe they left her out of the whole thing. And she wanted to know how Carter and Steffy would do that to her. In fact, if Daphne knew the extent of what Carter and Steffy really did behind her back, I think Daphne would be far more upset than she is even now.
And of course, we all know Carter is pushing this. That’s because there was no need for a procedure because Steffy is already pregnant and the clock is ticking because they made a baby when she and Carter drunkenly cheated. So, Daphne is still processing that Steffy had the procedure done and Daphne is already feeling really terrible and I expect Carter won’t waste time moving things along.
Bold and Beautiful: Carter out of control
Steffy still wants to confess and she’s trying to do it this week. But Carter again talks about Steffy and gaslighting Daphne, saying that they can hurry to make her baby’s dream come true. Carter is so upset, and I think it’s barely going to sink in for Daphne before Carter then tells Daphne that Steffy is pregnant. So, Daphne’s head is about to spin as Carter pushes fast, fast, fast.
And of course, that’s what Daphne wants. She wants this baby, but it’s going at this point that she can’t process. And Carter is not done with the blinds. I suspect he won’t stay. Maybe he’s going to pull the rug out from under Steffy. I think he will shock Daphne again soon. And I suspect that what is going to happen is that Carter is going to take it upon himself. I think he’s going to walk past Steffy and tell Daphne, “Oh, great news. Steffy took a pregnancy test and it’s positive.”
Steffy Blindsided on B&B
I don’t think Carter is even going to warn Steffy because Carter is worried that Steffy is going to make a man of her, “Oh, I have to admit things.” You know, the times Carter shuts down. So, he’ll probably tell Daphne herself and then I’m sure she’ll ask Steffy, “Oh, can I see the positive pregnancy test?”
You know, she took three, so she probably has one sitting around. Maybe she threw them all out. If Carter knows where Steffy has a positive test, maybe in her bag or desk drawer, I could see Carter stealing it and just showing it to Daphne or Carter just telling her that Steffy took a test and if Daphne needs to see it, you know, Steffy could just take a new one for Daphne.
I mean, to be honest, Carter doesn’t need the test. He could just blab and he could tell Daphne, “Oh, yeah, the procedure worked.” and he could say that Steffy went to the doctor and they confirmed the pregnancy instead of even bringing up a home pregnancy test. Carter wants to basically make sure that Steffy is trapped in this scheme and has no way out.
Steffy is stuck on pregnant
And once Carter complains to Daphne that Steffy is pregnant, she has to tell Finn (Tanner Novlan) and there’s nothing Steffy can do. She is too far into the crazy scheme to back out. Finn will soon be back from his contract and Steffy will have to commit to the lie. Tell him she was pregnant. We know from The Early and the Beautiful October spoilers reveal that Finn is humiliated as Steffy tries to get up to Finn with a romantic surprise.
And of course, Carter doesn’t seem to care how hard this is on Steffy. Carter thinks about himself and what he will lose. So, he bullies Steffy. And Carter thinks that if he pushes hard enough Steffy will cave and just go ahead with the scheme and bring her baby over to him and Daphne. And I’m sure as this goes on, Steffy is going to be a complete mess.
Bold and the Beautiful: Steffy Falls Apart
Steffy is going to be tortured because she has months of lies ahead of her. Carter has put her in this position of basically giving her something difficult. I suspect that every day of this pregnancy will be devastating for Steffy until she gives birth and then has to give up a baby. That is unbelievable.
It’s like Carter wants her to give him and Daphne Hayes (Bryan David Garlick) or Kelly (Sophia Paras McKinlay). It’s the same thing – it’s her child. And I honestly don’t think Steffy is going to be able to go through with it in the end. We will see. I’d be surprised if she doesn’t crack at some point. It may be late in the pregnancy. Maybe even to the point where she gives birth to Carter’s baby and that’s when she finally comes clean. I just don’t see Steffy living long term with Carter’s crooked surrogacy scheme.
Someone learns the truth about bold and beautiful
I’m sure at some point it’s going to start falling apart. For now though, Daphne is shocked this week to find out that her husband donated his sperm to fertilize Steffy’s egg. And then I think Carter is going to move very quickly to level two. I bet it will be a week, maybe two at most before he tells Daphne that Steffy has been confirmed pregnant. Plus, Carter and Steffy have all these conversations about their fake night at the office and maybe someone overhears them.
Maybe Daphne, maybe Ridge Forrester (Thorsten Kaye). We will see. But now it’s all moving because Daphne knows the procedure has been done. And of course, we all know Steffy is pregnant. Our Samhain sweeps start on the twenty-ninth of October, so just over three weeks. And I think Carter and Steffy’s baby story is going to hit high gear. I suspect that someone else finds out the truth about Carter getting pregnant by Steffy before Finn and Daphne find out. Maybe it’s Ridge, maybe it’s Taylor Hayes (Rebecca Budig). If it’s Ridge, he might find out by eavesdropping.
Things take a turn for the worse at B&B
If it’s Taylor, it could be because Steffy breaks down and tells her mom. But very soon, we’re going to see Carter tell Daphne that their baby is officially on the way. And Steffy can’t do anything to stop what’s already in motion without blowing up her life, you know. And after that, Daphne is going to start decorating the nursery, buying little ones, and where it gets really messy is future doctor’s appointments. As Steffy’s pregnancy progresses, you know, Daphne is going to want to be a part of things.
She wants to see the sonograms, to be there to hear the heartbeat, which is a problem because the time is several weeks away, and Fionn is a doctor. So, I think Steffy is right about them being caught. But for now, Carter is once again painting Steffy into a corner, and I think it’s going to be with a pregnancy announcement. I think Fionn is going to be frustrated. Daphne will be delighted. And neither is there any idea that there is great pain ahead of them.
