BenDaDonnn says he is taking legal action after the Texas arrest

BenDaDonn says he’s suing the College Park, Texas, police department after a Taser arrest. The creator of the content was tased and arrested after the Texas A&E football game on Sunday, October 4.

The Shade Room reported that BenDaDonnn, with his real name Benjamin Benius beardwas arrested Sunday after a football game at Texas A&M University. Beard was charged with Evading Arrest and booked into the Brazos County Detention Center. A security guard, Kenneth Carterhe was also arrested, and Beard spoke out afterwards. The incident took place outside The Spot on Northgate around 1:20 am, per NDTV.

On Monday, October 5, BenDaDonn spoke out in a live stream on KICK, and said he was suing the police department. In the live stream Beard was sporting an orange prison jumpsuit as he spoke. Additionally, a mock prison cell can be seen in the background in a video clip. Beard said he noticed the police pushing people out of the street.

“The first thing I say is, ‘Whoa whoa whoa wow,'” he said. “Why are you pushing him? Why are you pushing him?”

The creator of the content said it was a cop he has a problem with. Beard said the cop was aggressive with him from the start as he pushed people onto the pavement. He said his security guard hit the officer’s hand when the cop tried to hold him. Within seconds, Beard said he was knocked to the ground and Tased, and said he is suing.

Additionally, Beard wondered why he was charged with evading arrest when he was only talking back to the police.

“I only heard the spark go,” he added. “How did I get charged with evading arrest?”

The Shade Room reported that BenDaDonn was arrested and taken into custody on Sunday, October 4. He was released on $7,000 bond, according to KBTX.

Beard was streaming live on KICK when he was allegedly knocked to the ground and Tasered by police. A video clip of the incident went viral, and it shows BenDaDonnn being Tasered.

The College Station Police Department released a statement following the arrest, according to KBTX. The police claim that they were trying to clear people from the road in front of the bar when the incident happened.

“Northgate is a great place to go and have a good time, especially after the Aggie football victory,“read the statement.”However, the dangers our officers face when dealing with intoxicated individuals, drivers and patrons can turn a good night into chaos.” The police said they were “He used a less lethal weapon in an attempt to gain compliance.”
