Away from O’Donnell’s return, longtime host Whoopi Goldberg has been questioned about the future of the daytime program after admitting that she considered leaving the show.

Goldberg has been a moderator since 2007, a two-decade-long period, but it seems she is ready to hang up her boots.

As reported by The Blast, the “Ghost” actress said she was considering leaving because her comments were often divided by millions of people, often taken out of context.

“It’s one of the things you have to know about this job, and it’s very difficult,” Goldberg said. “Disagreement can come from anywhere, for any reason, and nobody really wants to hear your reasoning or your truth about why you thought this way. It’s just easier – people want to be mad; they are mad.”
