Tim McGraw setting the record straight on a rumor about it Taylor Swift and Travis Kelcein her wedding.
If you haven’t seen, the 59-year-old country music singer and his wife Hill of Faith was among the guests at the A-list couple’s star-studded wedding on July 3 at Madison Square Garden in New York City.
While appearing on the latest installment of Esquire“What I Learned” interview series released Wednesday (October 28), Tim he shut down rumors that he did it at the wedding, as some headlines said before.
“I didn’t do it at her wedding. That was a rumour,” Tim said. “The Internet is not always right.”
He went on to say that Taylor36, has a “close” relationship with his family and praised her for being an “excellent songwriter” with the ability to “cross generations with her music.”
Taylor and TimFriendship goes back more than two decades after she released her debut album “Tim McGraw” back in 2006. Since then, Tim and Faith59, have been mentors for Tayloroffering her guidance and support throughout the years. The three have also played together several times.
“Taylor has always been close to our family, our daughters,” he said Timwhich divides girls Gracie29, Maggie28, and Audrey24, with Faith. “She’s been to our house and hung out with our girls. And, I mean, she’s a special person, and one of the most talented people I’ve ever met … I couldn’t be more proud of her.”
He continued, “We just felt like she was a special artist and a special person, and we still feel that way. And we couldn’t be happier to find Travis, who’s a great guy too.”
While Tim he probably didn’t play at Taylor and Travis‘ wedding, this musical icon has confirmed that he performed at the big event!
