An influencer Allison Kuch proving, once again, that moms can do it all – including running the 2026 TCS New York City Marathon just six months after giving birth.
“Six months postpartum, still not sleeping through the night, mastitis, missed training run and I’m still here!!!” Kuch, 31, wrote via Instagram on Friday, October 30, sharing photos of herself picking up her race bib. “So happy to be running with maybelline in my first marathon and running FOR mental health!!
Kuch, whose daughter Pepper was born in April, will tackle the 26.2-mile course across New York’s five boroughs on Sunday, November 1.
“I can’t give up on my dreams, my daughters are watching,” she said via Instagram.
Kuch and her husband, Isaac Rochellare also parents to 2-year-old daughter Scottie. Rochell, 31, and the couple’s two daughters cheer Kuch on on race day.
“Made it to the expo!!!” Kuch wrote via her Instagram Stories on Friday, going to collect her recording equipment. “I’m crazy 60,000 people come through here and pick up their bibs lol.”
Kuch also made a point to visit the race’s official Lactation Support booth.
“Fun fact – ‘lactation stations’ are on the way, so you don’t need a pack [breast] pump,” she explained. “They have pumps provided at the start line and there are three stops along the way.”
Kuch, who is still nursing baby Pepper, has been open about it her postpartum experience.
“When people ask, ‘How are you postpartum?’ My brain goes to two places: sleep and mental health,” Kuch told Rochell in the latest episode of their Netflix podcast “Couldn’t Agonta Less.” “Here’s my issue with postpartum: Everyone is worried about the baby, about the birth [in the moment]. Four months after birth, no one checks in, and I would say that’s the hardest postpartum period.”
She continued, “Four months after giving birth is difficult because you’re out of a new baby, your baby is more sensitive, they don’t want to be put down, you’re going through a four-month sleep reset, you’re still breastfeeding.
According to Kuch, her postpartum experience has been very different after each birth.
“I think maybe I’m trying to do everything [is my biggest challenge now],” she admitted openly. “It’s an issue for me, I think, really. I just feel like I want to be back as much as other people assume I am back. I want to wake up and go to work outside and have a morning routine and put skincare product on my face. Then, when I wake up, I’m like, “But, she’s only been so little for so long.” I feel I should give her my time.”
