Taylor Swift’s secret wedding plans reportedly involved 11 trucks

Taylor Swift she reportedly went to her wedding with the kind of preparation usually reserved for a major production, and even had a secret code name at work. Behind the forest-inspired setting of her Madison Square Garden celebration with Travis Kelce there were months of secret calls, custom builds, and rehearsals at a campus that featured some of music’s biggest stars.

11 semi-trucks were needed to transport the equipment alone. But the singer did not just wait for the designers to deliver a finished fantasy. An insider says Swift stayed involved in the decisions, helping to shape everything from greenery to an evening full of music.

According to the Daily Mail, planning began in November 2025, three months after Kelce proposed and about eight months before the wedding. Famous Los Angeles-based designer Mark Seed was reportedly at the helm of the project, with multiple teams working to turn the couple’s ideas into a finished event. A permit was required throughout the operation to keep these arrangements quiet. Staff were reportedly sworn to secrecy, while dozens of Zoom calls covered the details of the celebration.

The project also got a name that hid its connection to the famous couple: “Eventica.” The service said it received footage of workers building pieces in a West Coast workshop, including a large T&T logo representing Taylor and Travis.

For Swift, the process was reportedly as important as the release. The insider said she “didn’t just want to give her a wedding,” describing a bride who wanted a say in what guests would end up getting.

Getting the custom-built set to New York was a job in itself. According to the report, equipment for the celebration was transported in 11 semi-trucks, bringing the pieces needed to change the field.

In the days leading up to the wedding, photographers captured trucks arriving at Madison Square Garden and workers unloading decorations. Some things were hidden under a black cover, keeping people out from getting an early look at the subject.

The scale of the deliverables reflected the challenge: the team was creating a personal performance within a building better known for basketball games, concerts, and major public events. That meant considering how the sights, lights, sound, and movement of guests would work together. Before the set arrived in Manhattan, the crew reportedly assembled parts of the production in other locations to see how the plans would translate into reality.

There was reportedly a rehearsal process at the wedding as well as walking down the aisle. The Daily Mail’s source said the set was taken to Rock Lititz, a Pennsylvania production campus where actors prepare for big shows. “We did a bunch of pick-up and walk-through tests there,” the insider said.

According to the account, the campus offered a space similar to Madison Square Garden, allowing the team to work through the situation before entering it at the venue. It was also familiar territory for Swift. She previously worked on her 2018 Fame Stadium Tour there and worked on sound for Clair Global’s Eras Tour, which is located on campus.

The reported test trials allowed the wedding team to assess their physical form rather than relying on proportions alone. For a ceremony with over a thousand guests, that preparation was an important part of bringing the design together.

Reportedly, Swift led the effort for the lush setting that belied the normal appearance of the field. “The plants, the plant was definitely driven by him [Swift]”, said the insider.

The ceremony area reportedly contained trees, foliage, vines, and Colosseum-like panels. Printed graphics were meant to “make the whole space look like trees,” according to the source. Speakers and musicians were hidden behind the green and architectural elements, allowing the production equipment to blend into the environment. Even the field’s scoreboard needed to be redone. The team reportedly covered it in black and used projected lights to create the appearance of a starry sky.

The source said that fire safety issues influenced those decisions, especially about keeping sprinklers working. “The sprinklers couldn’t go off [if they were covered]”, explained the insider, “It was a whole thing.”

The woodland feel reportedly continued into the reception area, where an artificial tree with twinkling lights stood above a circular bar.

After all the secret planning and technical preparations, Swift reportedly wanted a place for something more spontaneous: karaoke. Music became a central part of the reception, with a large performance stage in front of the dance floor.

According to the report, the stage featured gold metal details and lighting, giving the couple’s guests a place to play as the evening continued. Stevie Nicks and Paul McCartney were among the stars reported to take the stage. Swift would also enjoy singing with friends, including Kesha, Avril Lavigne, and Sabrina Carpenter.

The wedding planner Tara Guérard, who did not work on the event, told the Daily Mail that the participation of music made sense for such a guest list. “If you have a wedding where half of your wedding guests are professional singers, I think that would be hysterical and fun,” she said. “So why not? It definitely provides entertainment value.”

Guérard also said that a designer should “always bring out the personalities and style of the bride and groom at weddings.”
