Summer House a star Bailey Taylor alleged podcaster Dave Portnoy from copying her It Girl brand, saying it was “disgraceful” because he criticized it as a “rip-off”.
A few years ago, Dave’s Barstool Sports changed their ‘Chicks’ page to ‘It Girl.’ But when Bailey accused him of copying her, Dave called her a “piece of s**t” and suggested Bailey felt entitled to the phrase ‘It Girl.’
In TikTok October 5, Bailey spoke to some fans who stood up for Dave.
“You were all mad two years ago and I said I invented the term It Girl,” she said. “I never said I coined the term It Girl. I said I created a street-style series where we asked celebrities who the ultimate It Girl was and talked about It Girl trends. I’ve been doing it for three years.
“I have a podcast on iHeartRadio where we talk about It Girls. We have celebrities, and we ask them who their ultimate It Girl is. I’ve been sitting on carpets for three years asking people who their ultimate It Girl is. “I told you he was copying me. I told you his staff was looking at my Instagram Stories before he changed the name of his page to It Girl.”
Bailey called Dave a “rip-off.”
“The subtitles are an identical copy. The whole thing is a rip-off. It’s a rip-off,” she said. “Literally everyone was mad, and he’s doing it again two years later. It’s a shame.”
Back in July, Bailey spoke to a castmate Amanda Batula controversial romance with West Wilson.
“I was suspicious [before they announced it] because I had seen it the same day Jesse he got suspicious. It was brunch day. We were all suspicious,” she explained at the time on the Not skinny but not fat podcast. “That really threw me off because I was like, she was totally like hardcore kissing Kyle. She says they kissed, I was like, that’s not what I saw. … I was like, are they secretly back together? … [She] I looked dead in the eye and he said nothing was going on. … I didn’t know until they made the announcement.”
