Savannah Chrisley shared a lengthy post on her Instagram story after facing backlash about her pregnancy and husband.
While she was also attending a Halloween party with her father, Todd Chrisleyand her husband, a convicted fraudster Jason Galanis56, and celebrating their secret wedding in the Cayman Islands in July, Savannah, 29, opened up about the “cruel” comments she has received since going public with her baby and relationship news.
“This week has been an earthquake… This world can be so cruel. People can be quick to judge, quick to condemn, and slow to show grace. “The world may try to steal your peace, but it will never take away what God has promised you.”
“I’ve learned that you don’t have to defend what God has already ordained. You don’t have to fight every battle, answer every accusation, or convince the world what God already knows to be true,” she continued. “Sometimes the greatest act of faith is simply being silent, choosing love when you are met with hate, extending grace when none is given, and trusting that Jesus is at work even in the most painful moments… My heart is full. My blessings are unbelievable. And my faith is stronger than any storm this world could ever bring. Because at the end of the day, no hate has the last word.
Then Savannah wrote out John 1:5, which read, “The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it,” and said, “Thank you, Jesus, for peace that this world cannot give and love that this world cannot take away.”
Also on her Instagram story, Savannah shared a couple of photos.
“Nothing is going to break this step,” read a caption of a photo of her and Jason.
“Daddy set the bar really high,” Savannah shared with a second image, which saw her showing off her growing baby bump with dad Todd.
As fans may have seen, Todd, who spent time behind bars with Jason, recently admitted that he was initially not a fan of Savannah’s relationship with the much older Jason.
“He’s 20 years older, and it wasn’t something I accepted… I mean, to the point where I had a choice to make. It was either accept my daughter’s decision or lose my daughter,” Todd said on the October 29 episode of Bunny XOand Dumb blonde podcast.
Around the same time, Savannah opened up about her secret marriage to Jason, who had more than $100 million in financial obligations when he divorced his ex-wife, Monet Bergerin 2018.
“We ended up getting married in the Cayman Islands in July. So we did everything there, but we didn’t file it here, or else it will be public record,” Savannah explained on the Nov. 1 episode of Golden Tate’s YouTube series, The Golden Ticket. “But the wedding is in May. The wedding was supposed to be in January, and then I have a real wedding disaster.”
