ROSÉ steals the spotlight at Bruno Mars’ concert

Rose unexpectedly stole some of the spotlight at a Bruno Mars concert in Los Angeles after appearing on the big screen during one of the show’s fan favorite moments.

The BLACKPINK star was spotted with the “Angel Baby Cam” at SoFi Stadium, where she danced, blew kisses, and smiled as the crowd cheered. The cameo became even more memorable when fans started singing along to “APT.,” her hit collaboration with Mars.

Rosé may have attended the Bruno Mars Los Angeles concert as a guest, but she quickly became part of the show once the cameras found her.

The singer appeared on the center’s big screen during “God Was Showing Off”. During the show, the show’s “Angel Baby Cam” scans the crowd for female appearances.

When Rosé appeared, she leaned into the moment, dancing, blowing kisses, and smiling at the thousands of fans inside the SoFi Stadium.

The moment then turned into an impromptu sing-along, with the crowd belting out the hook from “APT.,” her hit collaboration with Mars.

‘APT.’ Taking ROSE’s solo career to new heights

“APT.” Rosé brought one of the biggest chart moments of her solo career.

The song ended up at No. 8 on the Billboard Hot 100 in November 2024, marking her first solo appearance in the top 10. She was also the first female K-pop artist to reach the top 10 of the chart.

Streaming numbers were equally strong. “APT.” reached 1 billion Spotify streams in 100 days, setting a record at the time for the fastest K-pop song to hit that milestone. By 2026, it had surpassed 2.6 billion Spotify streams.

The concert appearance also marks the beginning of Rosé’s next phase as a solo artist.

She released “New Trick” on September 18, marking her first major solo release after “Rosie”.

The song ended up at No. 133 on Spotify’s global daily chart, with approximately 1.38 million streams on its first day. It did much better in parts of Asia, peaking at No. 2 in Taiwan, No. 4 in Singapore, No. 7 in Hong Kong, and No. 13 in South Korea.

It also received a strong response from US pop radio. It became the format’s top-grossing song in its first week, with 74 stations surveyed by Mediabase adding it.

The music video also performed strongly, reportedly reaching 25 million views within about two days of its release.

ROSÉ Eyes 2027 For her next single

Rosé isn’t slowing down after “New Trick.” She has already confirmed that she is working on her next solo album.

The BLACKPINK star told Vogue that the project is expected in 2027, although she is still figuring out her exact sound and identity.

“I’ve been working on new music for a long time now,” she said.

Rosé explained that she tries to balance the world she wants to create with what she is growing, personally and musically.

She also told ELLE Korea that making an album makes her explore different aspects of herself. She described the process as putting everything she had experienced into a “one time capsule”.

Rosé is also gearing up for another big honor outside of the charts.

The singer was named among the Asian Hall of Fame Class of 2026 and is scheduled to be inducted at a ceremony in Los Angeles on November 5.

The organization described its honorees as people whose work has impacted entertainment, business, sports, technology and public service.

The ceremony also supports scholarships related to the organization’s 100 Women in Technology, Entertainment, Science & Sport initiative.
