Meredith Marks threatened to file a defamation lawsuit against him Whitney Rose on Instagram after watching a throwback clip of Whitney’s comments on the alleged plane bombing Brittany Bateman at a draw brunch in February.
As Lisa Barlow51, and Britani, 55, also weighed in on Whitney’s suggestion that there was a lawsuit that prevented the Real Housewives of Salt Lake City from revealing the truth about the supposed incident in the sixth season, Meredith, 54, accused Whitney, 40, of “criticism”.
“I was on the plane. Meredith is f*cking lying. Lisa Barlow is lying. The only reason you don’t know the truth is that there’s a lawsuit from much bigger people [than] me,” Whitney said at the event months ago. “I can lose my job because of this. The people who protect these b*tches from lying… Meredith supported Britani on the plane.”
After re-sharing the clip, Lisa and Meredith described Whitney’s comments as “criticism.”
“Yes, it was a full flight. There were a lot of people on the plane but somehow there is no footage from anyone, there is no impact legally or from the airlines. This is disgusting,” said Meredith. “Should I file a defamation case against her? I didn’t think anyone was dumb enough to believe it but maybe I’m wrong and I need to take legal action.
Meredith then threw shade at Whitney’s finances, suggesting that she shouldn’t be suing.
“Well, maybe not. You can’t squeeze blood from a turnip,” Meredith said.
Also weighing in on the clip was Britani, who said, “Absence of Evidence is not evidence of absence.”
As RHOSLC fans will recall, there were rumors of a possible secret recording of Meredith and Britani that happened on a plane. However, when Whitney was further questioned about the potential of the brunch haul, she could not say anything.
“I’m going to be very clear. I can’t answer, and I can’t answer because it’s a legal matter,” she explained. “Let’s say this: If five women saw the same thing, said the same thing … I’m going to be fired.”
As for Britani, she told StyleCaster that she was in a “fetal position, probably squirming [her] thumb” as Meredith cheered her on.
“There was wine… There was wine on my side through the seats,” Britani said. “I had my headphones on, like headphones, not just like AirPods. I had my headphones on, and my back was away from the back of the seat so I couldn’t feel it anymore, because I was just tired of seeing it and just trying to zone out. Crazy Rich Asians. And I got to the end, I literally just tried to zone out and not react, just act like it wasn’t happening. “
“I just didn’t want to give them the pleasure of seeing me break. I held out until the end, and then I started breaking. I started crumbling,” she said.
