Real Housewives of Salt Lake City a star Whitney Rose has been going through a rough patch lately.

In particular, it was revealed yesterday that Whitney, 40, officially filed for divorce from Justin Rose58.

Whitney appeared on the red carpet for the Virtual RealiTea Awards and spoke to E! News about where things stand with her and Justin in terms of co-parenting.

“WWe are nesting, so we share two homes,” Whitney revealed. So our children live in one home, and he and I move from home to home, um, to maintain the security, safety, stability of the children. Um, this process has taught me that no matter what Justin and I – what happens between us, we put the kids first, and that’s what’s important to me is that my family lives in a family unit regardless of what happens in my marriage..”

She also noted that the season was “hard to watch” as it was “a long time ago”.

“I’m in a completely different place and a different mindset,” she said. “So, it’s hard to recover, but I’m very proud of Justin and me. We’ve been friendly and co-parenting, and yes, it’s hard to watch, but I’m here for it. I am vulnerable, I am real, and my life is real; that’s what I’m going through.”

Whitney also spoke with The Reality Rundown and discussed the healing journey she’s been on this season.

“It’s very cathartic,” she noted about this season of RHOSLC. “I do I mean, I’m a completely different person now than I was back then, so obviously it’s hard to relive things, but I’m in such a good place now that it’s heartwarming to watch. And I’m just so proud of all the hard work I’ve put in because it’s starting to pay off, and I’m finally starting to see the benefits of my healing journey.”

Regarding her relationships with other members of the cast, Whitney said that most of them were “nice” about her experience and that she is “very close” to many of them.

“They still support me,” she explained. “We talk every day, I support them. And for those who don’t, the ones who choose to hate me when I’m down and continue to do so, I think that says more about them than it does about me.. And I’m secure with myself and where I’m at, and I’ve just realized that not everyone is going to be in my corner, and that’s okay. I still wish them the best of luck. They are still my sisters, whether they like it or not. I’m still rooting for them. They are my sisters, and I have nothing bad to say but maybe open up your heart and mind a little, you know?”
