After months spent struggling on the debut season of The Real Housewives of Rhode Islandmainly because of Jo-Ellen’s involvement in appearances Brian Pontarelliand the relationship with Beth WalkerRulla, 46, and Jo-Ellen, 39, confirmed they were back on good terms at Page Six’s Reali-Tea Virtual Awards.
“We’ve had an epiphany,” Rulla confirmed to Page Six. “Jo-Ellen understood that I have feelings, that I am innocent; we have closed the gap.”
As for Jo-Ellen, she said Brian finally admitted “the truth” about his relationship.
“They moved past it, and that’s the best thing,” Jo-Ellen said. “I was convinced.”
Brian also spoke to Page Six on Tuesday, insisting that he had grown from his relationship.
“I’ve grown as a person, we’ve grown together, and the most important thing is that our family is very strong,” he said. “If we can just show other families going through the same thing with hard work and dedication and, most importantly, love, we will get through it.”
During RHORI season one, Rulla and Brian insisted that his relationship with Beth had ended earlier than Jo-Ellen and other members of the team believed. And, as the events continued, Jo-Ellen continued to give proof and hints that Rulla had turned a blind eye to the truth. Rulla and Jo-Ellen also complained about the efforts made by Rulla and Brian to remove her from her job at a local beauty salon.
Then, at the reunion, Jo-Ellen suggested that Brian might have been married to his ex-wife when he and Rulla started dating, and Rulla called Jo-Ellen a “sl*t.”
Also at the event on Tuesday, were Rulla, Brian, Jo-Ellen, and her husband, Gary Tiberirecreating their reunion “sl*t” fight by mouthing the words to insult each other.
“You’re no good. You’re af*cking sl*t. That’s all you are,” Brian said to Rulla’s comment.
“Your husband is a sl*ta,” said Gary to Jo-Ellen’s voice.
Then, Rulla was heard saying, “You can’t see. You’re sleeping with doctors!”
The Real Housewives of Rhode Island the second season is currently in production.
