‘Obsession’ Unspoilt Review – ScreenHub Entertainment – ScreenHub Entertainment

At last! Finally, we have a review for Obsession on the site. It feels like it’s been a long time coming. We have seen so many movies this year, but one of the most interesting ones passed us by. But with the scary season upon us, and it being available to stream, it seemed like a good time to finally check it out. Was it worth the hype when it came out, or was it all overblown? Let’s find out.

Obsessionmade for a paltry $750,000, featuring a small cast of unknowns and only a few locations, yet it feels bigger and bolder than many of its big-budget contemporaries. It stars Michael Johnston as Bear, a shy, awkward 20-something who works at a local music store. He has all the feelings for Nikki (Inde Navarrette), his colleague who sees him more as a friend than someone worth dating, despite the fact that they get along well. After shopping for a gift for her coming up, he buys Willow One Wish on a whim and wishes that she will love him more than anyone in the world. Moments later, Nikki returns to him, seemingly a completely new person, open to the idea of a romantic future with Bear. But as the old saying goes, be careful what you wish for.

Although A-listers don’t pay, Obsession shining with the chair. The acting in the film is very good, from Bear flip-flopping between acceptance, fear, and rejection again and again, and Navarrette’s completely crazy turn as Nikki, someone who seems to love someone so blindly and so passionately that she will go to any extreme to keep and preserve that love, even when it is not true. Take away the supernatural angle, and it’s a pretty interesting take on toxic relationships on its own.

But this is also a horror movie. Even with the smaller budget, Obsession delivers thanks to the large role that Navarette gives to Nikki, a completely unhinged and terrifying performance. But the film also has very effective lighting, often showering Nikki in complete darkness, reducing her to just a silhouette or mass. He also makes some big, disturbing moves that make you feel good

Finally, I found Obsession it was well worth the hype. It was well acted, well designed, insightful, disturbing, and exceeded my expectations. It’s worth checking out this Halloween season if you haven’t checked it out yet!
