Nick Lachey & Jessica Simpson experienced a strange run-in on a flight to Hawaii

Although Nick can now see the silver lining in his marriage to Simpson, he recently had an unexpected run-in with the pop star.
The once-celebrated couple found themselves sharing a commercial flight from Los Angeles to Kauai, Hawaii, two decades after their divorce.
According to The Blast, witnesses said that the two musicians got first class seats but went to great lengths to avoid direct interaction or conversation during the long journey.
While the trip also included other family members sitting in different sections of the plane, the unexpected incident seemed to highlight tensions between the former reality TV stars.

In addition to managing current interactions, Nick has also looked back at the heavy press that surrounded his early years with Simpson.
Last year, he reflected on the end of their 2000s MTV reality series “Newlyweds: Nick and Jessica,” and shared how much he was moved when the production finally ended after three seasons.
Instead of mourning the loss of privacy or the public spotlight, the former singer explained that his tears came from saying goodbye to the camera crew, with whom he had developed strong personal bonds despite initial rules against mixing.
“I grew to love the crew. I remember crying the day we closed because you develop relationships with them. They became family,” Nick said.
He revealed that he was initially told not to speak to the crew. However, over time, he developed a close relationship with them.
