Allie Eklund revealed what fans haven’t seen since her split Steven McBee Jr. while it appears Yes, Judgeand podcast on Monday.
As she also revealed whether she would rekindle their relationship, detailed her attraction to Steven, and talked about wanting to keep her dating life private, Allie, 29, shared what she wanted. Descendants of Macbeth fans to know about her and admitted to hard times after a breakup.
“I think a lot of people reach out about my strength and the respect they have for it and sometimes that strength, for me, what they see is protecting myself, protecting my side, speaking out as a woman, which is very powerful, but sometimes strength seems to be lying in bed for three days and not being able to get up and sticking to my support system to lift me up,” explained Allie on September 21 program Casual chaos.
According to the influencer, she has had “good days” and “bad days” since she and Steven parted ways in April, following allegations of cheating, which she denied.
“But for me, it all boils down to the sheer strength of growing through something and learning that the only way to get out of it is through it,” she said.
Because of that very growth, Allie confirmed that if she could go back in time, she would still be dating Steven.
“I try to be stronger for what I’ve experienced … so because of that I grew, and because I grew I wouldn’t take the relationship back,” she said. “There were a lot of good times, a lot of things I loved about him and his family, and it got to the point where the bad outweighed the good and the relationship wasn’t serving Steven or me anymore.
One of the good parts of her relationship with Steven, Allie revealed, was getting to watch him work at his family businesses.
“He has an impressive mind. He is a creative person, he has a lot of good ideas, and he is very helpful when it comes to business,” she said. “We worked together. We fed off each other’s ideas. We connected first and had so much in common for what I thought about visioning for businesses in our lives that that side of it always caught me.”
“I was always impressed with how much he knew about everything and every aspect of the business. I’ve never really met anyone like that… That’s a quality I appreciate in a person, is someone who can lead those conversations…
Before joining Descendants of Macbeth for season three, Allie said she had made it a point to keep her dating life private.
“That was always my thing … but now it’s out there, and honestly, it’s cheaper that way,” she admitted.
As for what she wants fans to know, Allie said, “I tried my best.”
“My only goal was to show up and be a positive light for someone I loved and support him through what he was going through, and I really tried my best, and sometimes loving someone, one of the most loving things you can do, I believe, is to love them from a distance, and in this case, that’s what it came down to,” she explained. “I tried my best. I did a lot, with the information I had at the time, and I’m learning and growing more and more every day.”
