Talk about a wedding guest experience that sounds straight out of a psychological thriller!
Jenny McCarthy pouring tea that is very unhappy about it Tom Cruise, Katie Holmesand their marriage in 2006, alleging that the Hollywood superstar tried to recruit her Scientology. And according to Jenny, one particular incident involved a newborn baby at that time Suri she left in great fear!

In the new Thursday episode of The Jenny McCarthy Wahlberg Showthe Masked Singer the judge spoke to the former scientist Ann Goller Hill about her experiences with the controversial religion. During the pod, Jenny recalled attending Cruise and Holmes’ rehearsal dinner while dating Jim Carrey:
“I went to the rehearsal dinner and because I was with Jim, I literally sat across from Tom and Katie… Her baby was just and we’re having dinner and, all of a sudden, I see the nanny take the baby out [Suri] over to Katie.”
So far, so normal, right?
RIGHT! When Jenny asked if she could hold the couple’s baby girl, she says the feeling turned very scary:
“It seemed Rosemary’s Baby. I got the Scientology scene. “
Umm, WHAT?!
Imagine wanting to cuddle an adorable baby and suddenly feeling like everyone in the room is silently judging your every move!
Jenny went on to describe the awkward moment, saying:
“Katie slowly passed the baby and I just went, ‘Hi baby,’ because no one was talking anymore. And then once I brought her back the baby, it’s like everyone went back to their conversations. I thought to myself, ‘OK, I’m in the belly of the beast now’… I’ve never been so scared in my life.”
Story! That’s definitely not the warm, fuzzy wedding memory one would hope to take home!
But wait, there is MORE! Jenny remembered the meeting too David Miscavigethe leader of the The Church of Scientologyafter introducing Cruise as his best man. And apparently, she wasn’t afraid to crack a joke:
“I’m going, ‘Haha you’re selected, congratulations,’ which made him feel awkward. He didn’t like that and I loved every second of it. … Tom [laughed]trying to cover up the uncomfortable moment.”
Jenny also recalled Miscavige delivering a 30-minute speech at the wedding, saying:
“I was watching Katie’s face just, like, trying to smile and get through it.”
The actress and Carrey reportedly spent time with Cruise and Holmes after the couple tied the knot at an Italian castle in November 2006 as well. Jenny says she even had a private study with Holmes during that time, which she felt grew increasingly different as the marriage progressed:
“They would come over to our house and I would pull her to the side and be like, ‘Yeah, girl? Do you need help?’ … and at that moment she looked like a deer in headlights. During the wedding part, she still looked like Katie. Into the marriage, she seemed [there was a] move in it.”
Holmes filed for divorce in 2012 after five years of marriage. Cruise had been married before Nicole Kidmanby whom he has two children, and Mimi Rogers.

And the Scientology recruiting applications don’t stop with Jenny! she is too claims that Carrey told her that Cruise had tried to get her again to him also involved in religion:
“There were a few times where Tom would call Jim and say, ‘Hey, why don’t you come over to our Aspen house.’ Jim was like ‘We can’t go. They’re just going to try to draw us in.’ He said, ‘they have already tried and he rejected them, but they always try.'”
Who…!
