Jeff Lewisex Edward Gage slams Still turning out as “embarrassing,” and he questions whether Jeff has “paid friends.” Gage also clarified his recent shady message, saying that he had “been pregnant.”
After the series premiere of Still Flipping Out – a spinoff of Turns out – Jeff’s ex (who starred on the original from season 5 to 11) posted an Instagram video about how he “decided not to come back” to film the spinoff, though he later shared that Bravo “never” called him. Later, he said that his video had better ratings than the spinoff itself. Afterwards, Jeff fired back on his SiriusXM radio show, calling Gage out for “root[ing] for my trouble.”
“I’m looking[ed] Still Flipping Out, and I’m just in shock. What the fuck is this show?” Gage wrote in a recent post on Substack. “I know this is bad and I know people are like… you’re pregnant, why bother, move on. … I feel ashamed and insulted as someone who was connected to the original series. That has nothing to do with my co-parenting, jealousy, or wanting to be on display.”
“It has to relate to a new group of people, flirting with the wind, using the name of a television series to promote interesting information to promote a radio series, and it makes a mockery of the contribution of so many people to creating the art that was in the original series,” he said.
According to Gage, his shady Instagram post was “satire” and a “joke,” but it “definitely hit a nerve.”
“I was frustrated, and to be honest, I didn’t realize the extent of the frustration or why until I sat down to write this,” he said. “Not only this [reboot] nothing like the original series, the people have been disappointing to me. People we would never have been around or worked in our office with in my ten year relationship with my former partner. People desperate to be on television, desperate to talk about it on a radio show, desperate for attention, desperate for fame. It’s the kiss of the ring until you’re famous too.”
Later, Gage asked if Jeff had “paid friends.”
“I looked as a father, and I was sad that this is the environment that surrounds our daughter,” he continued. “She already understands why they’re all there. She knows they want something from her father and I don’t think for a second that they’re there because they love him and care about him. …
Gage titled the article, “Nothing Beats an Original.”
