The new movie Heart of the Beast is now in theaters and the emotional story will captivate moviegoers around the world.
Brad Pitt stars in the film, about a former Special Forces soldier and his combat dog, who are lost in the Alaskan wilderness after a harrowing plane crash.
A real named German Shepherd Uber He takes on the role of Odin instead of CGI filling in as a dog. And it really gives an amazing performance!

Uberand the head trainer Andrew Simpson he revealed to RNZ that the dog had been shared with three of its offspring.
“You only have to take one look at him on screen, and everyone agrees he’s a movie star,” Simpson said. “He had that face that just drew an audience in, so a lot of the emotional things from the dog, from the twisting of the head, from the mess of the chops, those close-ups, it’s all. Uber.”
“[He’s] A very special dog, I knew it as soon as I saw it. He was mature…he was six years old, he had an old soul inside him, he seemed to have lived a few lifetimes before. He was very calm, very calm, well-grounded and just had Odin written all over him,” Simpsons added.
Uber the father to 10 liters and they chose three descendants to share the role because they are all similar.

A team of 12 people cared for the dogs on set
“There was myself, four trainees, we had make-up artists, we had a prosthetic department, we had a costume department … you name it, we had it … they even had their own trailers on set,” Simpsons said RNZ.
The team had to ensure continuity when the dogs were turned out for shots.
“Throughout the entire film, the dog wears a military vest that breaks down during the film. He has a bandana, he has a collar, he has a prosthetic leg on his front leg. Simpsons added.
